後半になるにつれてゲコのピョンピョンに対してしっかり対空してくるのうますぎるな…対応早すぎる
序盤刺さってたれあさんの空後めくりが刺さらなくなったあたり、スパーゴの鬼の対応力が表れてる
空後も空前も3回振ったらリスクつけてくる、怖いスパーゴ
It's funny hearing them talk about how Greninja and Fox are similar characters because I was a Fox main and now I main Greninja for all the same reasons they said
It’s not really that funny and they aren’t really that similar other than the gameplan.Fox also has excellent out of shield options. Greninjas are trash,like they said.

Its tough to open Gren up in this matchup because Aegis can consistently rising aerial to intercept Greninja, who always does and loves falling aerials, and does not have a true rising aerial option. Add that in with the Gren OOS game and its tough, but Lea played the edgeguarding game so well.
He has one in bair. Then again you would have to have your back turned or be able to read jump in the same way.
@@shobukawa4183 Greninja rising short hop back air doesn't connect on a single character in the game unfortunately. It covers jumps and is decently safe if you drift back, but can't punish anyone for hitting your shield.
@@shobukawa4183 Bair isn't an actual OOS option. Sure it has the frame data for it but it can only hit like Sephiroth and maybe a couple others from standing position, otherwise, like you said, its a hard read.
@@verb833 it catches jump after option, something most people do after doing unsafe pressure on shield (should have clarified this hella earlier). I’m a Greninja main so that’s why I wanted to tap into the convo since some of the things abt the mu didn’t feel right.
This greninja is AMAZING. Really happy to see my main giving such a great fight. GGs
I love watching these Greninja sets because that's how I learn characters in general. I do watch guides but it's hard for me to remember the info for some reason. Maybe I learn better from example.

I was rooting for the frog, but this was a great set to watch overall. There's no shame in losing to Sparg0
And less by such a small margin.
In smash almost nobody loses by a big margin, it's just the small things that gives you the win

There were several points in this set where Spargo missed the punish on Lea's jump recovery. He was doing it a lot and at kill percentage. Spargo got 2 of them throughout this set but a few more well-placed prominence revolts would have made this much shorter.

It’s super cool that this was such a close set, especially as Sparg0 usually does extremely well vs the Japanese players
On a side note, always found it weird how the States tend to underestimate Gren imo. Europe and Japan have way higher opinions of the char and for good reason to me
Mainly cause there’s not a lot of top greninja reps in the U.S. he’s a lot more represented in EU and Japan

@@fatlord12 yeah that he’s even banned from his local scene too and when he was about to get unbanned, they just turned his ban to indefinite so he literally can’t compete like at all
@@lokks2130 In the start of the games life span(First 6 months to a year) he was generally thought of very highly, but since then he has fallen off in U.S public opinion. It's really Japan and Europe that think of the char more highly
@@lokks2130 It may be a case where Greninja is around that range but does better in Japan and Europe due to playstyle and characters used in those metas, thus they have a higher opinion

As a greninja main I am very proud of Lea! He showed what our character is capable of! Sparg0 put this match as +1 for the aegis. Yes, sparg0 has little experience in the matchup but people in the U.S. stay sleeping on Greninja.
when i saw the upload i was like “oh dear my main is gonna get obliterated”, but i was pleasantly surprised with how decently Lea held his own

Playing around pyra at kill percent has gotta be one of the dumbest things man
out of all the dlc (even with how simple pythra is compared to other dlc characters) this one is the one that really makes you go "yeah you sure paid that extra 6 bucks" lol
True, especially for gren where you jump a lot. You just get hit by pyra bair at 90 and you're pretty much guaranteed to die
This is the first time I see the Up special of Greninja be used like that, IDK if is because there are no many Greninja Mainers in the game

Lackluster (not from the players but just how pyra/mythra works) that Greninja lost almost all his stocks at 120%+ to a safe, easily spaced Pyra tilt attack or aerial.
Would’ve been interesting to see the Greninja go into poke mode with shurikens when the pyra swaps came out. No need to challenge those massive hit boxes (when it isn’t a guaranteed punish or safe option) when you can rack up free poke on a slow character like Prya until she is in kill percent for even a dash attack; would’ve “even-ed” up the stock threat. Also, I was hoping for a counter to come out on some of those Pyra aerials; I understand it can be challenging though given the spacing and timing the Pyra/Mythra player was utilizing.
Agreed on the counter. I was hoping to see it at least once, it's one of greninja's best counters (no pun intended) to quick sword characters. And the water shuriken usage was good but (even though I've obviously never played greninja [or any character] at a top level) I feel like he could have camped spargo out more to rack up percent (as much as I hate to admit that)
@@misterwiggles8771 Yeah, camping to rack up percent can sound lame but that’s part of the game/counterplay and can be skillful/cool when done at the right time. Prya performs a similar function by utilizing large hitboxes (her sword range) so you can’t touch her. Prya is a great defensive/shield type character to stop incoming aggression. However, she is not good at forcing aggression in neutral due to being slow and semi slow frame data. Would’ve been a perfect time for the greninja to stop being aggressive and start camping with shurikens and being evasive until an opening. Would’ve probably forced a swap back to mythra during neutral even at high percents.
The tension is kind of killed when you know any of pyras huge disjointed normals will kill at 100%
Feels like prolonging the inevitable.
Up b or bair can kill aegis at any percent too tho, that’s what keeps it interesting as Lea showed throughout the set

@@tacoponcho 2 moves that are free asf to go for, which clearly Lea did plenty to get this “seemingly impossible” matchup to game 5 vs one of the best in the world, it’s like you didn’t even watch the set
@@J242D any characters bair would do the same in exploiting pyra/mythras bad recovery, so its really just 1 "busted" move

Spargo is a amazing player. Great movement, timing and good mindset for such a young guy. That being said pyra mythra is actually just fucking busted....the only reason this was close was the hydro pump cheese at ledge other than that this is a 3-0 for spargo. You legit just can't fight PM idk wtf the option is for dealing with that toon

「体重が軽い」だったり「復帰が弱い」だったりって言う弱点は、ゲコとかの「ガーキャンが弱い」と違ってスマブラをやる上でプレイヤースキルで突かれない様に出来る弱点じゃないんよ。
だからそういうキャラには相応の強い所があって当然だよーって話、分かりにくくてごめん！
ホムヒカが強いってのは否定しないよ、強い所があまりにも強すぎるのは同感、でもSparg0もキャラの強さに抱っこにおんぶで勝った訳では無いって事だけは言いたい。
(そもそもホムヒカ出る前のクラウド単時代からmkleoにも勝ってるくらい海外の大会で上位常連の選手だったし)
