    Took my exam this morning and passed with an 85%. Thank you so much for making these videos. Once I started scoring in the 80s on my practice tests I was confident that I would pass. Throughly enjoyed my time spent in Mr Mig's Classroom and forever thankful for you taking the time to make these videos!

    Thank you Mr Mig for your excellent video series. I just passed the Part 107 test and it was hard. it had maybe 10 questions from all the question banks and videos out there. There was about 20 questions chart related and many questions on new regulations not even in FAA study guide like foreigner with overseas drone ID and many other remote ID questions, new fly over people rules and new night flying rules, weight category3 of drones questions etc. Questions on chart were different and some small airports and structures were hard to find. Having all the info you provided helped but FAA needs to make a new guide!! $175 for the test and they dont even give us an updated study guide!!

    Best video I came across explaining air space for 107 test.👍I was looking for something more current since laws are always being updated and the FAA study guide isn't. I even took notes and didn't fall asleep. Thank you for covering material NOT covered in the handbook and connecting different sections and how they work together, Air space with Sectional Charts and using Alpha , Bravo, Charlie language. That really helps reinforce stuff. That's like buy one get 3 free. Good deal, if you ask me. You are a TT- Talented Teacher not like those who count the days for their Pension to mature. You earned a like and subscribe. I'll continue to view your part 107 videos and see if there's anything else interesting on your channel. By the why I'm in Palm Springs CA, it's a Delta class.

    Hello, Mr. Mig! I have a question. I live near Columbus, OH. John Glenn Intl Airport (Class C) has an outer shelf with a floor of 2500' and a ceiling of 4800'. However, there are three Class D airports that have ceilings of 3000 & 3400 that are within the Class C outer shelf. With this overlap, does the Class C supersede Class D or is the floor still at the surface within the Class D airspaces?

    for airspace Charlie, from the raidius of 5 NM from the airport which is SFC to 4400 feet were obviously not allowed to fly our drone, on the 2nd circle which is from 1700 feet to 4400 feet you said we are allowed to fly our drone as long as we stay below 1700 which makes sense. My question though is, that 2nd circle we are still in class charlie airspace and do we need to contact ATC for approval before flying below that 1700 feet?

  • @BillGassman
    @BillGassman 8 месяцев назад +2

    At 23 minutes into the video, where you discuss class D airspace, your slide and talk track says Class D air extends up to 2,500 feet MSL. How would this apply if the airfield was itself 2,500 feet MSL? Should that be AGL?

    • @Mookie928
      @Mookie928 8 месяцев назад +1

      Then it will be higher. Not every D is going to have the same ceiling. That was referring to the usual, but each airport is going to have a different ceiling

    • @BillGassman
      @BillGassman 8 месяцев назад

      A different way to look at it is, the top of the D space will be normally 2500 AGL above the field. The top altitude is labeled on the map, in brackets, in MSL. Looking at examples, they normally round up a hundred or so.
