Her love and enthusiasm for this piece is contagious. I didn't understand before how this piece was outstanding in Debussy's oeuvre. Can't wait to try again.
Delighted to see this piece given some focus. When I first heard it, it was the very last track (track 25) on a CD of Werner Haas playing various Debussy pieces and it grabbed me like nothing else on the disc - I must have listened to it a dozen times that day. It is a special piece. Thank you for posting this video.
Lisa - your appreciation of this is similar to mine. I was born in Australia in 1952 to give perspective. I have for about 40 years I think considered this to be Debussy's finest composition. Your playing is highly articulate, technically perfect and mentally transporting. Thank you!
1:20 you're forgetting madness 😂This piece is so wonderfully weird, strange and completely bonkers, mad ❤️For example the part after 8:42, more accurate the part beginning at 8:46, it's like Debussy chews up the entire peace and spits it out again in an extremely compressed and dense form, before going on to the big climax 😍

I love this 😂 it’s so true. He’s like “here’s your review before the coda!”
Nice 🙂
Great playing.
Outstanding channel. Subbed.
Thank you, @vladkovalenko5303!
Interesting video. Good job!
That melody @ 2:52 is not creepy at all, its one Debussy's best ideas imho
She said "sensuous and creamy" I think. But I agree it's one of Debussy's best
Yes, I said “creamy,” you’re right it’s not creepy at all 😂
debussy is so futuristic ! this could have been composed today
Better said: most people wouldnt be able to compose this cause it's still futuristic...
