Gotta say, this is one of the best pedal demos I've heard in a while. Great, borderline ASMR production, clear and concise. Fantastic work, would love to see more from the channel in time :)
The Generation Loss pedal is one of the greatest pedals ever created IMHO. And now MK2. The Gen Loss to me is a musical instrument; The sound makes me feel good. Tom is a massively talented designer.
this is one dope pedal forsure. I use it connected to my Tascam Model 16's aux channel. I produce in MPC to Tascam through Tascam Aux Channel to Studio 192 Interface and into Studio One Pro. I love this pedal probably way to much lol piano, guitar, synths, drums, cajon all sound dope using this pedal. I also use the Platform Electro Harmonix pedal on my drum patterns! Great for lofi and boom bap from the MPC!
Great video on a fantastic sounding pedal - IMO the best suite of analog-style audio degradation effects available. To think of all the half broken gear you'd have to lug around to get these sounds otherwise - here's hoping we get a new entry in the future now that Tom is fully on board at CBA! My favorite feature of this pedal is that, apart from all the midi control available, there's a ton of control on tap for those of us with just an expression pedal - your preferred sweep of every single knob can be assigned to it, *simultaneously*. So you can gradually bring in just the right mixture of sounds. The only thing I'd improve about it would be to separate the two kinds of noise so that they can be used together. [Important to note that because the way that knob assignments are reset is to hold bypass and set the knob fully counterclockwise, if you want to assign that as the starting point you have to bring it back clockwise just slightly, but yes, you can assign knobs to sweep CCW too]
Great demo! No, Exceptional Demo‼️ It's not just the specific details and the run down you provide, but you have a very positive and funny vibe that resonates with me. This pedal is an expensive and difficult pedal to procure, and getting something you're not sure of would be a huge waste of time and money. Thank you giving me the information and the impetus to move forward with my purchase! I pre-ordered the Gen Loss today (see below). And I subscribed today! Let's see if we can grow your subscriber base 🙂 I really like that the Cooper FX Gen Loss V2 is controlled chaos, and your demo makes this apparent. My purchase was based on your demo. The problem I have with my Red Panda Tensor and my Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water K Field Modulator is that they sort of do their own thing regardless of what I'm doing, and although they both sound good, my creative input is secondary to the pedals, which in my mind is more about the effect and less about supporting my creative process. Still, I'm glad I bought them. FYI, my pre-ordered purchase today through Anderton's in the UK: At £249, it's slightly more expensive, but £50 less than what they advertise it for once you get to the checkout page, which still makes it ~$40 more in USD than the MSRP of $299, but considering that the starting asking price for the Gen Loss on Reverb is currently $845, Anderton's price is still a reasonable price. There's a ~3 month wait and the shipping is reasonable - I hope this info is helpful to those people trying to get one of these hard to get pedals. Btw, I hate that people who don't really want these pedals buy them up so they can immediately resell them at greatly marked-up prices. This is not cool. Maybe these people should stick to buying ceramic dolls and other non-utilitarianism collectables.
Future audiophiles are be like “wait, they got to pristine digital and then went back to a wax cylinder sound?!”🤣 It’s gonna mess with time... can’t wait to get one!😎
Don’t worry they’re already up on reverb for $1000. With descriptions like “don’t be mad bro,if someone wants this for $1000 I’m selling” . Bro I’m mad lol good demo though
@@xinthisdiaryx oh really? Lol I’m good thanks. No pedal has ever been or ever will be worth $600. I own a lot of expensive pedals but $600 is ridiculous. You can get a zvex lofi junky for $250 which is a great lofi pedal. Plus I own a cooper effects arcades , with all lofi cards. I’m set.
@@xinthisdiaryx lol it’s all good. When this pedal first came out I missed the sale obviously and I was looking at the comments in this video and some dude was like “ I got 3,I’m stoked” and people were mad as shit but it was actually the best joke at the perfect time. All good. Cheers
It is impossible to buy one. I tried 3 times... always sold out. You can only find people trying to extort you on Ebay or Reverb, asking 800 bucks for It.
@@mattlowerymusic i hope you’re right!! i asked him if cooperfx is an apparel company now on his latest instagram post and he replied yup clothes only. hope he was just pulling my leg!
Really cool! Hunting one down now.

Most clear demo I have ever watched for a relatively complex pedal. Finally I get it, thanks!
Thanks for the kind words!

This demo is amazing. It completely won me over
Amazing work, man!
Thanks dude!
the bass in the wrap up section caught me off guard lol
beautiful pedal.
Excellent sonic walk through and explanation of what makes the Gen Loss V2 so special!
Thanks Alex!

Thank you! These are the syrupy sounds I been lookin for!
Am I the only one who thought that was a cigarette on the left ?😂😂😂
Somehow you always find a way to make me even more excited about a pedal I already have haha. Lovely work Matt.
Thanks Andrew, and likewise!
This is so beautiful
Wow great demo for sure
Great video. Great voice and explanation. Keep it up!
Matt! Great demo.

Thanks!
Do you have a video for the shallow waters?

Where is this "pristine digital" you speak of?
I was on a Edison wax cylinder release like 10 years ago. Printed 6 and sold none. Lol. True story.
@@RustyTonesJr I just preordered the new chase bliss version!🤷🏽♂️
@@JayVeMontgomery Me too. Totally stoked. Better than using a film historian in LA to make wax cylinders. Lol
@@RustyTonesJr lol!
Beautiful. I really want one of these but its so expensive!
Follow cooper fx on Instagram, he posts when he does another batch. He’s trying to get them into as many hands as possible
I wonder if a V3 will be released now that the V2 is discontinued...?
Anyone know how to add/delete/select presets? Bought one second hand sans manual 😩
what is the difference between this and the chase bliss? the chase bliss seems to have more functions/control?
Which chase bliss version are you referring to?
Which is better - this or the chase Bliss one??
great now i want ice cream
How do you save presets? Watched the vid but may have missed that part
You might reach out to Tom and ask. He’s still around!
Lovely ♥️
