The Prince is Peter Taylor. My first year I danced this, which was 1978, my Prince was Peter Boal. This was my second season. Knowl Johnson as Fritz. With Shaun O'Brien as Herr Drosselmeyer, the beautiful Patricia McBride as the Sugarplum Fairy and Helgi Tomasson as her Cavalier.
The music is out of sync in the first act, since this is just a home movie.
This made me smile watching it. I remember David Richardson very politely at one point asked me to stop adding so many flourishes to the curtseys in the Grandfather Dance because he said I looked too much like a "ballerina who had just dropped in from the Kirov." This performance was after I had toned it down a bit, but the flourishes were still there, in miniature.

You were amazing in the role of Maria! I had the privilege of watching you perform in The Nutcracker in Chicago in 1986 and you were brilliant. I feel very lucky to have seen you dance. Thank you for sharing your gift!
