My grandfather fought in WW2 and came home to face segregation but he said when he saw the atrocities committed against the Jewish people he knew it was road we couldn't have in this country. He passed in 2014.

So true, I already thought this about my mother in 2016, but even more now. My mother was born 1923 in Germany and was involved in the resistance in Munich. She had a lifelong hate for fascism and was horrified by the possibility of its resurgence. She died in 2008.
So sorry to hear that my mom was born in 1928 Germany 🇩🇪 shot 3 times in her leg . Met my dad while he was stationed in Germany he and my 2 uncles were in the segregated military of America. They fell in love and got married then my brother and I were born. My mom passed away in October of 2016. I have always felt the same way.... she would have been so upset and disappointed to have seen our downward spiral and the loss of women's autonomy. Sometimes, I feel like I must be in a nightmare - this can't be our reality. But for the first time in history, each of us has the opportunity to peacefully stop it.

Trump held a rally 10 minutes from the capital, two months after the election, claimed the election was stolen despite no evidence, then acted like it wasn't his supporters who stormed the capital.
He did this despite credible intelligence that suggested his rally might spark violence.
Sadly, this wasn't even all he did. He tried to slate a fake board of electors and coerce government officials into subverting the election in other ways, as well.
After all this, he and his loyal worshippers act like they are surprised that he's being indicted. "How could they indict God's President?"
Many see Trump as some God figure, maybe his second begotten son.
As MAGA, you have to believe everything Trump says. If there is evidence to the contrary, then you can't believe it. It's not possible that God's President could lie.
All this despite a long history of cheating on all his wives...even bragging about getting many women to cheat on their husbands...some husbands were his employees.
All this despite Trump being friends with Jeffrey Epstein, visiting his properties, flying on the Lolita Express, and more. Trump has more pictures with Epstein than his youngest son.
If someone doesn't believe Trump is a threat, they refuse to look at real evidence. They prefer speculation, suspicion, and conspiracy theory.
I agree I am so glad that my parents were not alive to see where this country has gone. My dad was there at the tip of Trump‘s election 2016. My mom had Alzheimer’s two years later after he passed she passed. They would’ve been heartbroken.

I felt the same way about my mother's passing. Her childhood was in Occupied France and she was already apprehensive.
I've heard numerous people from n.korea,communist china, communist eastern europe etc. say what's going on in the u.s now reminds them of what they escaped from. and they didn't mean trump. they're talking about the universities and the left !
I once met Whoopi when I was a clerk at Tower Records years ago. She was the nicest person ever. We talked about acting and theater for over 10 minutes. It’s like we were buddies.

My mom wound up getting dementia while he was still president and I remember her wanting to vote in 2020. I was concerned about her voting but she saw who he was… She never liked him so that helped. I feel like Whoopie… My mom is gone now so she hasn’t had to see where things were headed😬 I’m so grateful that we have some light starting to shine with VP Kamala Harris running for president now🙏🏽💙💙💙
