I would definitely forgive him if he used beat sync for 4 deck performance. Because crowds dance on correct track selection, smart transitions and correct use of fx, they couldn't care less if beat sync is used.

why are the channels laid 9ut 3,2,1,4 is there any signifcant reason that its not 1,2,3,4?
Because if you're only mixing with two decks the channels 1 & 2 will be right next to eachother
