Sign him up as a pundit now . hes also a great player if youve watched him over the years and an icon at watford. gareth might not be able to ignore him for much longer the way watford is playing. great stuff.
When the rumours went around that he was maybe eligible to play for Northern Ireland a while back I was excited because his style of play would've been a perfect fit for us a club style team within the international game he'll never get a game under Southgate deferent styles.
I wouldn't say Ross Barkley and Theo Walcott are "great names", but on stats he is ahead of Rooney and Defoe who have both played for England in their time. For me Troy would get the nod, he's an experienced head to have around. He can also pick up on new things to improve his own game a little bit as well. He would give a different dimension, with aggression and hold-up plays to draw other plays in etc.
He comes across very well in this interview. Give him a chance, why not. If he was saying why he should be picked I'm sure I wouldn't have said that. But, it's all down to Gareth these days and it's pretty clear he doesn't fancy him. Fair play to GS too because he's been honest about it.
Football Snobbery Deeney sounds very respectful man Just keep doing your thing Steve Bull there’s a name earned his caps like Deeney should also have caps !
He's 31. By the time we get to the Euros he'll be 33. What is the point in calling up someone who will not be part of England's competitive teams moving forward?
You're right in fairness but give him a cap in a friendly purely based on form....it's always going to be Kane , Rashford but why not deeney battling it out with Vardy...
may be a bit biased here, but deeney is a class player. he’s got that mental ability and the physical ability. if it wasn’t for age i’d think he would have an England call up.
I never liked Southgate as England manager. Picking players like Lingard and Dele Alli instead of Shelvey, Stones and Dier instead of Dunk. Deeney what a legend. He's not an international player, and just because Watford have built a style around him doesn't mean England will.
There's simply better players.
If those 5 or 6 fell off, he's got a chance...otherwise, he's not good enough.
@Harry Dinan wait... you think deeney's betters Welbeck? please stop
@@MrAkee77 for England Welbeck's goal ratio is really good and he can play on the wing. Something England lacks.
Love Deeney always a solid lad
Sign him up as a pundit now . hes also a great player if youve watched him over the years and an icon at watford. gareth might not be able to ignore him for much longer the way watford is playing. great stuff.
Troys a top lad - spurs fan
Massive respect for deeney
A natural leader
Not a Watford fan but Troy Deeney is really good. Sad he doesn't get enough credit.
When the rumours went around that he was maybe eligible to play for Northern Ireland a while back I was excited because his style of play would've been a perfect fit for us a club style team within the international game he'll never get a game under Southgate deferent styles.
Funny if he just said “England ain’t got no Cojones” 😂😂😂
Really like Troy - good level headed professional and if anything should be regarded as an Ambassador.
For what? Thuggery?!
What? When?
2012.
2012: Says it all!
Because 33 is still young.
You're right in fairness but give him a cap in a friendly purely based on form....it's always going to be Kane , Rashford but why not deeney battling it out with Vardy...
Because Vardy retired
33 in football(and in general) is quite old, i wouldnt have him over a younger fella
@@snuffmeister6720 33 is old in football but not in general lmao
I'd have Troy in England squad all day! In tournament football you need someone different on the bench if you are struggling and that's him.
what about calling Wilson he definitely should be in the conversation
Wilson is a much better player than deeney
Love this guy he’ll break barrier for young English players playing at smaller clubs to get a fair shot
Proper real guy. You can tell watching the show you Carra respects him.
lovely bloke... top banter
Deeney is very good player, working very hard.
What a professional
9:03 that laugh 🤣
Carragher’s laugh at 9:04
‘I think Marco silva will do a good job at Everton’ 😬
What's the obsession with Deeney, he scored one goal from open play all of last season. Wilson deserves a chance much more
He has a great personality
Sapientiae Clavis haha yeah but how is that relevant?
Glad someone else is thinking the same as me. Deeney's way over-hyped
L Or Ings
Why not both? Surely they are better options than Welbeck😂😂
may be a bit biased here, but deeney is a class player. he’s got that mental ability and the physical ability. if it wasn’t for age i’d think he would have an England call up.
Real talk Troy
Troys face built like an ancient roman bust😊
MrMooemoney I was gonna say car crash, but ok
@@MultiFirelover More like a Orc from Skyrim
He constantly looks the victim of a aggravated assault 😂😭
He has a downs look about him
I never liked Southgate as England manager. Picking players like Lingard and Dele Alli instead of Shelvey, Stones and Dier instead of Dunk.
Deeney what a legend.
Being so consistent and important for Watford, still their first team player and captain.
Watford never would've stayed in the EPL this long without him.
Essential, top class and underrated.
