Nice helmets, but just one bit of advise. You shouldn't run your fingers across the decals because the oil on your fingers will deteriorate the decals faster or tone them darker. I also try not to touch the liners too much for the same reasons mentioned above but also the fragility of them. I always use white cotton gloves when handling my helmets.
There are some very talented people that restore German helmets so well that you would swear that they were original. They have the painting method and wreathing down pat. They do whatever you want, SS Heer, Luftwaffe, and especially camouflaged helmets. You have to use caution with these.
You’re exactly right about the SS prices. You’re missing an M42 helmet? Do you prefer the M39 & M40s? Awesome vid. please make another...love the details/narration.
I had a chance to buy a World War 1 German Helmet for $500.00....in Very Rought Condition but no Damage to the Helmet ...Wish I could have Bought it...
@@22waffen it's was Original authentic World War 1 German Helmet...just Serfice rust on the Top with Original Color...Liner inact inside.....No dents ....

Trying to restore a helmet will only decrease its value ..my advice it’s to keep them as you got them..it’s part of its history.
WOW What a collection well done Robbie ( TILLMANS COLLECTION )

I had a few M42 but sold them, I like the m35/m40 better. I do have an ss helmet where the decal was removed ..
@@22waffen I think you like the earlier models because they are the classic style. Many collectors do. Looking forward to your next vid.

$500 for a WW I in rough shape is too much …you may be able to find cheaper ones on EBay.
