Patrice is a genius for sure. Another brilliant female artist around the time this came out was Lesette Wilson, also a jazz pianist and still producing music today.
This gem just got a reboot by a chap named Alan Fitzpatrick, UK techno producer, but he just gave it a bit of 2020's uptempo beat and kept most of the original. Great rework, and does wonders on the dancefloor!

The musicians and singers of the 50s through the 80s were truly multi-talented. It didn't matter whether they were black, white latino, whatever.
