      @anaccount7923 oh yeah, 5.7's are slow man, I was playing with those when I was stock. You will have a bit more drivetrain loss and you're heavier so I wouldn't expect to be super competitive with 5.0's or 6.4's in a roll and they will reel you in from a dig pretty quick. @houseofsharpeis9366 Год назад +4

    Just a tip is stop shifting too early. Hold the gear to almost redline after the tune. The power won’t really role on til 4500-5000 rpm. Shoring at 2500 is stock ecu driving

    • @RealSpeed
      @RealSpeed  8 месяцев назад +1

      If I do that the tires spin because of FWD. the reason I roll then pull and shift at 5500 or so is because, in my feel with the driving experience in this car, it works better that way. It’s not an AWD RS3 or a Golf R. It’s only a GTI and has nothing real performance wise. It’s a mock up of what a Golf R is and it works but not for smashing the throttle all the time. Unless people like spinning tires? I’m not sure, but I see no problem with the way I handle this car. I feel all the power I can without spinning and it’s very fast for what it is

      I would honestly love to go e85 the problem is there is only 1 gas station that has it where I live and it’s a 1 hour drive but it still might be something I think about. I’m sure it’s a monster on e85!

    Dude was talking about not having any roads to run on an was on a long straight already

    • @RealSpeed
      @RealSpeed  Год назад

      Heavy cop roads so it’s not very often that I can run going 60+ on those roads. RI and MA are very small states so the speed limits are low and cops are everywhere. When I was in SC with this thing I could do pulls up to 80+ and I’m only going 10-15 over. If I did that 50+ where I live I could get a huge ticket or arrested so it’s tricky. But I had a lucky day lol

      I am not because it is usually safe to run tunes on cars. It’s even safer if you run a tune with proper modifications to go with it as well.

      The FWD ruins the pulls in this car for me. I need traction not tire spin. I enjoy the way I pull in this car specifically because every pull there’s no spin and it feels smooth

    Short shifting and revving the car cold 😅 low torque isn’t saving anything

    • @RealSpeed
      @RealSpeed  Год назад

      5k is a perfect time to shift when daily driving. I don’t ever see myself shifting my gti at 7-8k every time I drive it. Maybe on a track but not on backroads. And the car wasn’t cold when I revved it. It had been turned off for maybe 20 minutes while tuning but I previously drove it right before I tuned it

  • @tentativesky1698
    @tentativesky1698 Год назад +1

    Not tryna be rude dude but you are granny driving the car 🤣. You are shifting at 5k and it revs out way farther than that. Also do some digs man. I have an s3 and the area I live in looks like yours but I rip the piss out of it. It comes off like you are scared of it. A dig is going to feel a lot more aggressive than your 3rd gear 5k pulls 🤣

    • @RealSpeed
      @RealSpeed  Год назад

      Haha no offense taken 🤣🤣 but the reason why I shift earlier is because I like the DSG farts and when I shift past 5k it doesn’t fart. So I think it’s a satisfaction thing for me lol I love hearing the farts so I think my instinct is to shift right at that point where I’ll hear it. But I know what you mean I should send it a little more here and there especially for the vlog cuz that would be fun

    • @rohrbaughfab
      @rohrbaughfab Год назад +1

      So it's tuned because farts not performance?

    • @RealSpeed
      @RealSpeed  Год назад

      Define performance? And the farts are part of the performance. Pegging the car out on a back road every time you drive it is not performance to me. But that’s just my opinion. Unless it’s a super car however but performance to me is how the car feels naturally driving either in drive or in sequential. So shifting at 5 or so k makes the car feel better than smashing the throttle each time. I mean every once in a while I definitely have some fun but I gotta save that gas sometimes 🤣🤣
