btw when hobi said "rappers that try to rap in english" it wasn't towards western rappers because BTS acknowledge that western rappers specifically black people are the pioneers of rap and hip hop in general it was towards korean rappers that try to act like they're better than them while imitating English speaking rappers and try to act above everyone

especially those who use primarily english to rap while looking down on those who don't or even ashamed of being Korean (mind you a lot of those rappers' english lyrics aren't written well since most of these ppl don't know english well enough/grow up in english speaking environment)
And some "korean rappers" just Say gibberish in English to sound cool because not Many people actually Speak the language so, yeah, most people don't notice.
When you listen to BTS you can tell the difference between rappers and idol rappers.

I’m OT7 but as a Yoongi bias that man is on another level . He’s ridiculously diverse and his lyrics span from heartfelt and beautiful to completely destroying his/their haters. Not to mention the fact that his production skills are off the charts .
I love them all, RM is my bias but Yoongi speaks to my soul

Agust D is producer, songwriter, composer of his own music. He is usually credited for keyboard/piano and synthesizer in his songs as well and he is always behind the concepts of his MVs

BTS rap line is unbeatable, each of them has a unique and cool style (plus that they are excellent songwriters and producers). And it is impossible to deny that when Yoongi raps he always stands out, he was born for it. Believe me, if Jimin wasn't in BTS, Yoongi would definitely be my bias.
The talent in BTS is insane.
They are currently my 3rf best rapline in flow but 1 in lyrics and diss

All of the rappers are so technically skilled and they each have their own niche and style that they bring to the table. If you listen to each of their latest mixtapes (Mono by RM, Hope World by j-hope, and D-2 by Suga/Agust-D) they're three entirely different animals. For me, j-hope is my favorite rapper. I just think he's really dynamic and innovative and he has all the swag in the world. And I really like that, because he's a great singer too, he brings a lot of melody and diversity to his tone. If you listen to his tracks Baseline or Blue Side, you'd think there were 3 or 4 different rappers on each. But it's all just him. But again, they all have their strengths and their styles all really suit them.

and i like that he finds their lyrics kinda deep when those are diss tracks, barely on the surface of what they can do lyrically, his mind will be blown later 💜

Did you noticed that the tempo of Daechwita did not changed from start to end. It only has a single tempo or beat. It sounded.like it has different beats bec of Suga's tone or singing.

Daechwita’s beat is constant. It does not change, if you notice. Listen to the instrumental and you’ll notice it. IT’S AMAZING, AGUST D IS AMAZING AND A FREAKING GENIUS.
also, i 100% agree how all rap members (namjoon, jhope and yoongi) has different rap style. i love it. it gives so much texture to their songs as well. and it also shows how versatile they are because they’ve showcased how they can do each other’s rap style as well if you listen to more of their songs and live performances!!
anyway, thank you for this reaction! i know that the guest is practically new to this korean song reaction and at first, it was hard to read subtitles and listen to the song, but i hope that the lyrics is also highlighted because it is what bts is known for - their deep lyrics. love how the host is so hype!!

The beat doesnt change at all throughout daechwita btw. any change in feel and tempo is just Suga's rapping

That’s what I LOOOOOOOOOOVE about BTS. you can listen to a song with more than one member on the track and tell that’s it’s a different person and if you’re an avid listener who is singing/rapping on the track. Even though they have moments where they might sound somewhat alike (in my opinion) those instances are quite a few. They each have their own distinct tone that’s gotten better with time. They are all amazing lyricists, producers, and composers.
