I wasn’t a fan of rap until I heard this. Now I love it. BTS bring a unique flavour to most of their songs by adding a little rap. I don’t know of any other artists that do this. Agust D is Suga’s alter ego. Its the initials of his home town and suga, spelt backwards. Lovin the reactions. Keepin it real. Stay Cool. ✌🏼
Daechwita is a traditional Korean musical genre born in the late Joseon Dynasty, which used to be performed in royalty processions and characterized by including wind instruments and percussion. It continues to be used on special occasions and for military purposes.
Daechwita’s beat is consistent throughout the whole song but it sounds like it changes solely based on Yoongi’s rap and tone changing. Listen to Daechwita instrumental, it is surprisingly calming. Just shows how he uses his full vocal range, the way he switches his flow up and changes his tone, it's a masterpiece.

I really recommend both of his mixtapes: D-2 (2020) and Agust D (2016).

BTS started with nothing, period. They first debated in 2013 and were spat on and people talked shit to their faces. They changed clothes in a hallway when they were trying to get their music out and just wanted to perform. They were treated very badly by their peers but we know who got the last laugh. But throughout all of this they are the most humble respectful and kind young men you would be proud to meet. Please watch the video of how they got started and just who the bangtan 7 are! They are all very talented in their own right and have over 700 awards to date for their music and dancing and for the message they put out to the young people all over the world.
