very good footage. longer version of interview than i saw previously. If you listen to some of the tapes earlier, they were pretty insane. Its hard to believe anyone from jonestown didn't know something like the mass suicide would possibly happen. the white nights were such insanity.
in my opinion, he’s clearly lying when he denies that the basketball team were the marksmen, and also when he denies knowing about the intensive care unit.
It's plain to see in many post-Jonestown interviews that these were genuine, thoughtful, idealistic individuals generally. It's easier to imagine they were mindless followers, religious zealots or poltitical ideologues.

One can be idealistic and also be a zealot in that idealism. Stephen here is still trying to defend aspects of PT which were not defensible
You can tell by the tapes of the White Nights that there was immense mob rule and repression in Jonestown
