Hi guys, i have been testing precision farming some more and i thought i would share it with you. When the maximum yield of a field 100% or less is, then Spotspraying will cost you 7% of your yield. When the maximum yield of a field 100% or above is, then Spotspraying will cost you 9% of your yield. When using a mechanical weeder you get the maximum yield. With regards to the environmental score i am still testing some stuff, but it looks like the minimum difference in environmental score between mechanical weeding or Spotspraying is about 3%. In testing i got the environmental score with Spotspraying up to 97% and with mechanical 94%, but i had every environmental score up to the maximum except the nitrogen score. That one is creeping up slowly every time i harvest, and that score seems to be influenced by which crop you use on which soil (sorry for the bad grammer, not my native language). When i changed the crop type (a crop that needed a nitrogen level in the green scale) the nitrogen score went up a bit (but i need to test some more to know for sure). Als watch out with converting excisting fields into concrete or stuff like that, because the game will still register those places as fields and they will count for your environmental score. And you will not get higher then 94 on the environmental score when you do that. Also like you already said Harv, direct drilling is absolutely the way to go. I hope this infomation will help some people with their decisions. And loved the stream again guys, keep up the good work!
Just to make the information complete, it is not the Spotspraying itself that makes the yield less. But it is the fact that you first have to let the weeds grow (this takes up the space that normally would be for your crop) before you can Spotspray with herbicide, And with mechanical weeding, the weeds do not grow. Thus the crop has more room to grow and therefore you will have more yield.
plowing in reality would turn the top soil over so it actually would not blow away that is if ground is not totally dry in that case you would not get a nice turned plow ridge.
Almost forgot, with a 98%-100% environmental score you will have a 15% bonus. With 95%-97% you will have a 14% bonus, and i know that 94% is a 13% bonus and 89% is a 12% bonus. Maybe this will help some people with making a decision on if they want the extra percentages of the bonus. Have fun doing that math guys 😉
You looked like a swift driver there for a min lol. Great video
I’m sure I did! 😂
