My 17 year old 7 lbs female cat rules the house with an iron paw. All my animals including my 90 lbs pitbull are afraid and respectful of her. She is not aggressive, but one look is enough to put everyone in their place.
Oh yes- I have an orange rescue girl 😊. She’s had two kittens and all cats in the neighbourhood know she will use her paws, if necessary- “ skippety pap’s”…😂
My 5 year old female rescue cat follows me everywhere. She was a kitten when I got her. She often sleeps on my walker so she can stay close to me during the day. Our other female cat is elderly and has bonded with my husband.
My male Munchie, rip😢, knew his parameters and would frequently walk it. My new little girl Scout has already met the neighbors female. Up on her toes, hissing and fluffing out. And she is only 25 weeks old. She always lets me know when she wants love ❤️ she is definitely mammas girl!
My male, 1 1/2 yr old, furry, light of my life is just like the males you described. Affectionate, playful, curious and smart. I learned so much during your video and I’ve had multiple cats in my life. I’ve had females with and without kittens and males and I still learned about the differences between the sexes. I’ve loved them all.
Regarding females remaining motionless for long periods: In a documentary on tigers, a male who was determined to get a sambar deer on the opposite side of a small body of water, spent 4 hrs. crouched like a stone until the deer went into the water. When the deer was closer to the tiger's side, it was then that the tiger calculated just when to attack. The epitome of motionless & determination.
Actually they are all different., while there may be general similarities they are distinctive in nearly everyway. I have about 15 cats and have noticed their Individuality.
My dear, now late (and neutered) Jasper had “girlfriends” next door….he would get so excited and wanted to interact with these 2 Female cats….whenever he spotted them when he was inside- omg, he always had a special meow that let me know his girlfriends were spotted! They would go outside and so would Jasper-in very safe, controlled situations so it was easy to see this interaction. However, his girlfriends wanted NOTHING to do with him, poor guy….was constantly getting rebuffed over the years. Jasper was friendly and just wanted a kitty playmate but alas, this was never meant to be. Unrequited “love”, hahaha!!
We adopted sibling cats, two brothers and a female. The female cat is so nasty and mean to one of her brothers, loves the other one and acts like a kitten with the rest of us. I mean, she'll literally walk up to her brother, spit, hiss and swat at him.
Hi! 😊 You know I watch your videos all the time and love them! I have a question for you. I am about to inherit a 4-year-old male neutered cat and I already have one of those, same age also neutered. The one I'm getting is with my parents so I'm going to swap some toys between my cat and their cat so they can get used to the scent. Do you have any videos and/or advice on how I can integrate the new cat, Inky, into my home so Freddie doesn't feel stressed or anxious? I'm really worried about this situation. I don't want either of them to feel worried or helpless. Any advice would be most helpful!❤❤❤
Hi! Thanks for watching my videos! 💜 I don't have any video about this but I think can help: Swapping toys is a great first step to help both cats get used to each other’s scent. When you bring Inky home, try to keep them separated at first, each with their own food, water, and litter box, and let them sniff each other’s scents through a closed door. After a few days, try short, supervised introductions using a barrier like a baby gate so they can see each other without direct contact. Offer treats and praise when they’re calm. Gradually increase their time together and keep it positive with toys and play. Be patient and observant-if you notice tension, give them more time apart. Over time, Inky and Freddie should learn to coexist peacefully.
Very helpful, after 32 yrs of male cats, I now have a darling girl fur baby. All cats were neutered or spayed. She is very affectionate, can never get enough petting while the previous male liked to be left alone at times. I wonder if early spay/neuter blurs these distinctions
Well if this video taught me anything, it made me sure about what I did suspect. My male is actually transsexual cat :D Joking aside, he definitely fits the female description 100% better. And I mean at pretty much all points :D
Um, it depends on the individual cat. I had a 2-yr old male cat when I adopted a 6-month old female kitten. I brought her home and she has dominated him and the rest of the household since Day One! 😂

When we had male cats they were very attached to my husband, but our female cats are more attached to me.
