You mean the Kerb Haters? They take pride in just hitting the kerb, going over it, whatever makes parking easier for them. Here in the UK it's common to see them showing off their hate for kerbs (and wheels) in town centres while parking their car. Makes me want to impound their vehicles...

Looks pretty good. Does add a spark to the vehicle, especially red on black. Yes, I'd consider it.
Appreciate you showing us different products that help protect our cars. As much as I try to be careful (and as much as I take care of my car) I inevitably hit curbs 🤬. I would be interested in seeing a different color maybe clear, but a color that stands out, not my style. But as I tell folks that want to do stuff to their car, if it makes you happy- go ahead.

I really like this idea, since I’m always super scared to curb my freshly powder coated Integra Type R wheels, they look great, and I do like how they’re thick and not like a sticker, I just wish they were 1/4” wide for a thinner look, the 3/8” looks good on a bigger wheel like that, but probably too much for my 17” wheels.

This will be perfect for my Model 3 Tesla. The wheel tire combo is designed horribly and if accidental come close to a curd the wheel is scratched. I’m 60 and have had 30 different cars and this is the only car I have ever had a problem with
Here in UK we have an alloy wheel protector made by a company called AlloyGator. These are far more heavy duty.

As a parallel-parking city dweller with hopelessly chewed up rims, I wish I had color-correct ones of these when the rims were new to use for bumpers.

It's a little loud for me. I guess if it matches either the wheel color or maybe an accent color on the car, it might be a nice touch with some added protection.
I've seen pin stripers do their magic on wheels before. I never thought of it as a way to protect against curb rash with a rubber product.
I am going black on black. Scuffed a rear wheel yesterday. This will cover it.

2 Car washes + tire change, its a no go for me, but for this to be put on a Maserati an expensive car means its worth it , but still dont know ima first see how much to fix my 3 rims previous owner hit curves all the time from the looks of them.

looks like those particular rims protrude beyond the area that you are protecting. curb could damage that area.

I bought a product similar to this one for my girlfriend's car--she wanted trim on the wheels to match her paint. I prepped the wheels and ensured that the rims were clean and dry. These work okay for around-town driving, but when she went on the highway going 70mph, one of the rear trim pieces came off due to the speed. It severely marked up the rear quarter panel behind the wheel. Fortunately I was able to polish out the defects, but I do not recommend any product like this.

It looks like something you would see on a MOPAR car like a Challenger or a Charger.
Not my bag at all, but if the clear is near invisible I can see using as a small layer of protection.
If the package of the wheel trim said Made by Jescar or polish angel it would sell like crazy 🤪

I’m only interested in this because a very minor scratch on the edge of my rims but as I sit here holding the packet I begin to think what happens if it comes half way off and whips against my pain 😮😢

Been interested in doing this for a while, but have heard it’s not so good for diamond cut wheels, believe in some cases can promote corrosion

I like the look of the red band but, only on an all black wheel. And, red is the only color.
Your observation that the red ones turn PINK is not reassuring. But, I guess you could always say it's for Breast Cancer Awareness.🎀

Do you think using a uv ceramic coating will help against oxidation? I do. Seems to work on my plastic trim.
Can you do a video on when to use glaze? When you have corrected a car and you still have some very minor scratches, but you decide to conceal them before a ceramic coating or wax?

Several years ago I tried these and just couldn’t get them on straight. Each time, wobbly lines. So I gave up. The adhesive IS legit, though. I’m just probably not patient enough to do a great installation on these, too fiddely. They don’t really look that bad if done right. Not familiar with the red color, that stinks it oxidizes.
May the clear would be a good one if it doesn’t yellow over time
I think they look good but I would worry about the fading from the sun. However I wonder if ceramic coatings on them wouldn't allow them to fade?!

I'd cut it with a craft knife, the scissors compress the plastic and you CAN see the join. With all these things the issue is longevity and what happens when one starts to come away
I can see it might be OK for a temporary cover up for minor scuffing BUT WILL IT STICK TO AN UNEVEN SURFACE ? - I DOUBT IT.
And when it finally comes does it scuff up the side of the car?
I would imagine that when new tires are installed, these would be destroyed and new trim must be installed. Also, I would be concerned they may come off at high speeds.

what if i add glue to it? do you think it would still come off while driving at a certain speed? i did research and i heard Loctite superglue could work?
how long can this hold up? What if I go 80 mph on the freeway? will this fall off? : (
each to his owne, Id personally have gone with black, Ive had these before after curbing a front wheel that had only been on the car for two hours after having a powder coat refurb, the rim protecter hid the damage. PS how about a follow up with the Macan ? Interested very to see how the vinyl/ppf has changed her appearance..

The customer came back for maintenance....still red...but the sun will undoubtedly lighten them up over time.

A dynomat roller tool would make short work of the final go-around to ensure the bond. Also worth noting is 3M adhesion primer (94) can stain / discolor the surface.

Totally a marketing gimmick. I don't see how something so thin and flexible as this could offer any protection at all. Hard pass for me.

Great video again sir. I think could be better to have neytral colours witch they do not do optical difference to yhe eyey but still add the protection. For this case black would be great, red yellows e.t.c give some more... cheap/funky.. appearance.

Cringe. I’ve seen those fly off the wheel and damage the vehicle. Losing an OEM paint job due to that would be a tragedy as opposed to having a wheel repaired here and there. Remedy for curbs is learning to drive or get a truck with over sized tires.
Comes off after 50 miles, don't use. beats the hell out of the hell out of your car making heavy marks that may not come off. customer service has not return 3 calls I have made.

I'm trying to deal with an awful problem. My center wheel caps are melting and leaving very hard shiny black drips and globs all over the rims and tires. Have to buy new wheel caps and then find a professional detailer who knows how to get this stuff off ! 🙁

My Daughter on disinvention I think it’s the stupidest thing they invented like the man said it’s not for gouging rims minor scratches I doubt that’s gonna help. It’s just being held on by a piece of 3D2 way strip this is just a rip off. I swear to God unbelievable with what people come out with go through a car wash and it’ll rip it off. I wouldn’t spend my money on that. Sorry garbage just my opinion.

Don't waste your money on this product, I made the mistake of trying using 2 kits and with no luck they do not stay on for more than 50 miles
