I’m not a Christian / Mormon. I actually left the church. However, I will always love the music of my childhood faith. It has helped make me who I am. This is amongst my favorites.

I am Orthodox Christian, from Eastern Europe and it has been my lifetime dream to attend a Christmas ceremony of this Choir in particular. The Mormons sing these songs like no other, you can feel and listen the love, emotion and devotion in each and every song. Magnificent! Some day i say, some day .....

I cried to this too especially since I heard this song when I was becoming a christian, and back to the time when I was on fire for the Lord. Now I feel so far from Him because of sin and intrusive thoughts and I miss Jesus more than ever :(

I know what it’s like to be in the deepest, darkest pits of sin, but although reaching for His outstretched hand and climbing back out of it is so, so hard to do and really hurts, it’s even more so worth it! It’s painful because we know we were the ones who left Him, not the other way around, and it’s tough at first to accept that we would really treat anyone-let alone our Lord and God and Saviour-that way. But the worth is infinite, and the reward forever! All He needs is for you to make the step toward Him, and as in the parable of the prodigal son, the moment He sees you heading toward Him in the distance, He will gird His loins and start running off to meet you halfway! Take heart, sister, and fear not; God is with us, if we only let Him be! I hope your Christmas season has been good to you, and your new year full of hope and light.

this song reminds me of my childhood. i am an adult now and rarely go to church. i cannot even remember when was the last time i say a prayer. but this music brings back my connection with the lord jesus christ.

I’m not a Mormon. I’m a catholic by birth but am not a very religious person. I’m from a big city on the east coast. Over the last couple of years I have really grown to feel such a profound fullness in my heart when traditional Christmas carols are played, when musical groups like the Mormon tabernacle choir produce arrangements of sheer beauty. There really is something to be said about the value and importance of the true meaning of Christmas. You can see the faith and passion in the eyes of every singer and every Orchestra member here and it’s really beautiful. We get so wrapped up in our busy urban lives, in consumerism, in greed, and it’s so nice to just take a breath, take a step back and watch this. Merry Christmas everyone!

I would describe this carol as this: The music rises slowly and steadily, rising in power as the dynamics soars to the highest point of the music: like Angels soaring down from heaven to where Jesus lays in the manger. I think this version is just immaculate. Well done!

Christ was born in a manger among shephards and in material poverty. But it strengthened him to be the lord he was.So don't feel bad in poverty and in sickness , it gives us strength to be better than what you were.Poverty and hardships teach us human a lot!
Every time I listen to this I cry ....it somehow proves we have what it takes to love . Oh God how I long for peace . My heart sometimes can't beat another moment . Most die of broken hearts I think. Oh God please help and don't distance yourself from us . We've seemed to have lost our way . Can you help us ?
I feel like I live with a broken heart every day. It's the separation from Krsna or God as Christians call Him. His love is real, but He wants us to come back to our real home. Knowing and loving God will pacify our being. I like your honesty.
God does not distance Himself from us. We distance ourselves from Him. Read His word every day in the Bible and/or the Book of Mormon. You will learn how much He loves you and wants you to feel His love. Pray to Him sincerely. Try to learn His will and do it.
This is my favorite song since I was a child, I was not a Christian back then, not knowing the meaning, but touched deeply every time my school choir sang it.

Years ago I woke up at 5am on Christmas morning and amazingly my kids weren't up yet. This was during a time I rarely had a moment to myself and so I decided I would turn on the devotional I had missed. This was the first song the Tabernacle Choir performed and I was so overwhelmed by how beautiful it was, I cried. It was such a gift to sit by out Christmas tree by myself and think about our Savior. The third verse is especially powerful. I wished so much that I could sing this arrangement with an orchestra and choir. Years later Ensign Symphony & Chorus was created and I got my wish. I'm so grateful!

this song reminds me of my childhood. i am an adult now and rarely go to church. i cannot even remember when was the last time i say a prayer. but this music brings back my connection with the lord jesus christ.

I grew up in the Church and every single time I hear this song, I can't help but become overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit! It gets me to the point where I can't help but get teary eyed. I am so grateful and blessed for having the knowledge of the Church!

I’m not a Mormon. I’m a catholic by birth but am not a very religious person. I’m from a big city on the east coast.
Over the last couple of years I have really grown to feel such a profound fullness in my heart when traditional Christmas carols are played, when musical groups like the Mormon tabernacle choir produce arrangements of sheer beauty. There really is something to be said about the value and importance of the true meaning of Christmas. You can see the faith and passion in the eyes of every singer and every Orchestra member here and it’s really beautiful.
We get so wrapped up in our busy urban lives, in consumerism, in greed, and it’s so nice to just take a breath, take a step back and watch this.

Every time I listen to this I cry ....it somehow proves we have what it takes to love . Oh God how I long for peace . My heart sometimes can't beat another moment . Most die of broken hearts I think. Oh God please help and don't distance yourself from us . We've seemed to have lost our way . Can you help us ?
I feel like I live with a broken heart every day. It's the separation from Krsna or God as Christians call Him. His love is real, but He wants us to come back to our real home. Knowing and loving God will pacify our being. I like your honesty.
God does not distance Himself from us. We distance ourselves from Him. Read His word every day in the Bible and/or the Book of Mormon. You will learn how much He loves you and wants you to feel His love. Pray to Him sincerely. Try to learn His will and do it.

Years ago I woke up at 5am on Christmas morning and amazingly my kids weren't up yet. This was during a time I rarely had a moment to myself and so I decided I would turn on the devotional I had missed. This was the first song the Tabernacle Choir performed and I was so overwhelmed by how beautiful it was, I cried. It was such a gift to sit by out Christmas tree by myself and think about our Savior. The third verse is especially powerful. I wished so much that I could sing this arrangement with an orchestra and choir. Years later Ensign Symphony & Chorus was created and I got my wish. I'm so grateful!
