- Facial synkinesis is the unwanted movement of certain facial muscles following facial paralysis. This can occur after Bell's Palsy, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, removal of an Acoustic Neuroma or parotid mass, among other causes. This video is to educate patients on the benefits of botulinum toxin (Botox®) treatment for facial synkinesis.
Thank you for this! I've been told that Botox could do more harm than good in my case. However, most of your patients are similar to me. This is helpful.
but doc this last only for 4 months, thn again u have to take botox, so is till we have to take till end of our life wht??please resolve the query as soon as possible

Can you please update ..about their more recovery.. I have synkinesis from Philippines.and I can smile properly ...I have also same smile like them...I can't show my teeth ..and my left eye affected side is closing ,when I smile ..thank wish your response ..for hope...
You may be a candidate for botulinum toxin therapy, similar to those in the video. You may want to visit a facial paralysis specialist in your area for more information
