I don't understand what this document is alluding to... After all, anyone who would have been there instead of the Russians would have done the same thing and maybe even more ruthlessly. Criticizing something where there is nothing wrong with it seems already foolishness and stupidity or envy. 1. Учения в Норвегии. Поржал. В зеленом камуфляже, они в арктическом лесу собрались воевать видимо. Норвежский дождик немного отличается от Средиземноморского. 2. Корпус морской пехоты тоже весь зеленый, как норвежская трава. Под гусеничный транспортер даже металлическую сетку постелили, видимо чтобы легче было взбираться на гостеприимный берег, может надеются что у нас в Заполярье им тоже сетку постелят. 3. Here in the United States our interest is limited to building a golf course up there or perhaps a new Trump Tower.

Meanwhile here in America politicians want us to drive electric vehicles without the infrastructure to support the switch from fossil fuels.

Тем более нам ещё восстанавливать 4 региона новых. Населения много, ртов много, не всё сразу, это не колдовство щелкнул пальцем и всё застроил. Города должны строиться так, чтобы были самодостаточны и не разорительны.
Ну а чо - нас же "хлебом не корми", дай только в каждую семью личного норвега, чтобы заставлять его "учить русский язык".... Это наше любимое развлечение после "калинки-малинки" с медведем под балалайку.... 😃👍

The fact that these NATO fighters train there somewhere will help them, of course, to live a little, but for a long time in difficult conditions it is not realistic for most to survive. Cold is a way of life that people get used to from childhood. A person who was born somewhere in the south is simply not adapted to such conditions as do not prepare him. Russia is in many ways a northern country with difficult conditions and no one is able to withstand it in cold conditions.
Yes, the soviet soldiers learned this lesson the hard way when invading Finland. Totally unprepared for the climate which resulted in huge losses and ultimately losing the war against a massively smaller enemy.
The russians out-numbered the finns 2:1, but their losses were 5x the defenders. Soviet tanks out-numbered finnish tanks 200:1, their planes 30:1.... By the end of the war russia had lost half of it's tanks and half of the men they sent. We have a saying in Finland for when someone screws something up big time. We say they "Russia'd" up whatever they were doing.

The main issue being that the troops sent to Finland were from the southern parts of Russia and were not properly equipped. Equipment will make the biggest difference in endurance in the cold. Those used to the cold don't even have to think about it since it's "common sense".

This is the same as sending, for example, a Norwegian to Africa or the jungle. A person simply does not understand how to survive there. Plus psychological adaptation and local diseases that require immunity. In general, in any case, a person adapted to certain conditions is in a more advantageous position.
Not sure why he keeps saying that Pyramiden is in the "heart" of Europe. Svalbard is way up in the Arctic and not that much closer to Norway than it is to Russia either. They keep banging on about Russian or Soviet propaganda, meanwhile, they perpetually apply propagandistic language when referring to Russia. What about US territories? Ask native Hawaiians how they feel about their stolen sovereignty. What about the nonsensical British claim to the Falkland islands? NATO is presented as a defensive force, and yet it is and has always been the billigerant. The Soviets gifted what was now Eastern Ukraine to the Ukrainian SSR but it was always prior to this Russian territory with Russian people living there. When the fascist Ukrainian regime began ethnic cleansing and genocide there, it lost all right to call it its own territory. When Ukraine began flirting with the US to further encircle Russia, which Biden knew was a red line decades ago, an inevitable conflict of their own making ensued.
