I remember watching the list and one thing talked about was something along the lines of "top unique job searches based off Google for the states." It then showed the map with the job written on the state. For instance, Michigan had light house keeper. At the end of it the narrator said " and we do not know what going on in Ohio." As it had one word alone on it, potato. People in Ohio what to have a job as a potato.
That's so true. Twenty One Pilots is from the Columbus area lmfao. The Northeast is rust belt, and the Appalachian region of Ohio got hit massively with the opiod epidemic.
I think the thing about Ohio is that it very much is a Midwest State. But it also has more big cities than a lot of other Midwest states and even southern states. So basically, a lot of people live and/or moved out of Ohio, and it's not uncommon to hear about Ohio in the news, making it one of the top states that people think of when they think Midwest. Also it's a fun name
Ohio ends up on BBC international more times than I like. Had a guy dump manure in the parking lot of a Democrat county HQ. The Republicans paid to clean it up.

Aside from that, the family got a bulk box of burgers from a local drive-thru restaurant that looked like it was cobbled out of three backyard toolsheds made of rusty sheet metal near an unfinished hotel where we were staying. They were extremely good burgers actually. Great service in the hotel, nice people. Fun fact, i'm not making this up. This is exactly how most trips to Ohio go. Place is depression on a stick. But they have good burgers.
I'm an Ohioan. The best places for burgers are the ones you're afraid to enter. One of my favourites is a building that is LITERALLY TILTED. Floor and everything. It's wild. It's "yeah as an ohioan this state is an scp" followed by legitimately interesting facts about Ohio and observations of what different parts of the state are like. It's kind of simultaneously the least interesting and most fascinating state, I'm so glad most people from there are happy with the meme rep.

Yeah, I've been to Ohio exactly once, to see the Rock and Roll history museum in cleveland. I'd unironically place it as one of the five most dangerous experiences in my life, and everything that outranks it either involved becoming an inpatient or having a knife to my throat. There were people just randomly firing handguns at abandoned gas stations as cops circled the street.
a big part of this meme for me as a Michigander is also tied up in our mutual history. back in 1835, Michigan and ohio got into an extremely minor actual civil war over the Toledo strip. in the end Ohio got it, but we were given the entire upper peninsula as compensation. there's been like a genuine bitter rivalry between Ohio and Michigan ever since, even almost 200 years later, which mostly manifests in our sports scenes. this whole meme has been like, the rest of the world awakening to a truth we Michiganders knew all along

As someone who was born on a day, i can confirm that ohio is definitely one of the most states of all time.
the state of all time
Therefore, this MUST mean that Ohio is most definitely (a) state of the art.
Facts about Ohio:
The 2nd biggest rollercoaster in the US is in Ohio at Cedar Point
Both of the Wright Brothers were bron in Ohio (AKA, The guys who invented planes.)
Neil Armstrong (The moon guy) was born in Ohio
State Animal: White-Tailed Deer
State Bird: Cardinal
State Flower: Red Carnation
Ohio has the worlds largest Basket world record
....and Ohio is home to The Great Serpent Mound
Largest man made disaster……
Neil left Ohio so he could become an astronaut so he could never go back there
Race track: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
that coaster is ether the top thrill dragster or the millennium force, although i think the latter is the fastes rollercoaster when it first came out.
Fun fact: Dante’s Inferno originally featured 10 levels of Hell, but he omitted the tenth one because he thought it was too disturbing
The 10th level was Ohio
I honestly feel like Ohio's meme status goes back way further than 2015. Like, the Simpsons was making Ohio jokes back in 2007; I wouldn't be surprised if Ohio was a meme before the internet even existed

Boring for you but it is a circus politically and religiously more than even WV. just saying
I remember watching the list and one thing talked about was something along the lines of "top unique job searches based off Google for the states." It then showed the map with the job written on the state. For instance, Michigan had light house keeper. At the end of it the narrator said " and we do not know what going on in Ohio." After reading the current situation on Ohio. I think we just witnessed the begining of ohio meme lore. Stay safe everyone...
I feel that Midwest Emo as a music genre, the concept of rust belt and the massive opiod epidemic in Ohio should all have been mentioned.
"SO CUT MY WRISTS AND BLACK MY EYES!" So I can fall asleep tonight, or die. Because you kill me. RIP.
Don’t Juggalos and other Midwestern Rappers come from

That's so true. Twenty One Pilots is from the Columbus area lmfao. The Northeast is rust belt, and the Appalachian region of Ohio got hit massively with the opiod epidemic.
Please help me I grew up here I don’t like the Midwest Emos please save me
I think the thing about Ohio is that it very much is a Midwest State.
Also I'd say some RUclipsrs who live or lived in the state, like Cody from Alternate History Hub or especially Scott the Woz, who jokes about it a bunch, have kinda made their mark on the state.

I've been to Ohio and the most prominent landmark I found was a funeral service building.
It's wild. They drive around on golf carts drunk af too. You can just drive your boat on up by the canal side and order up that way. Ohio is the definition of shit on a shingle.
@@no-pajamapanda8548 I haven't seen that place but yeah that's the general rule to Ohio. All the good stuff happens to be at the places that are basically weird parodies of the rings of hell from Dante's Inferno.
As an Ohioan, I'm proud that "The Amazing World of Gumball" called out our state as the one who had 8 people from it become US president just so they didn't have to live here anymore.
Yes, fear us, fear ME.
Also, dont worry about the monsters in the sky at night, they are friendly as long as you give them a snack ^^

a big part of this meme for me as a Michigander is also tied up in our mutual history. back in 1835, Michigan and ohio got into an extremely minor actual civil war over the Toledo strip. in the end Ohio got it, but we were given the entire upper peninsula as compensation. there's been like a genuine bitter rivalry between Ohio and Michigan ever since, even almost 200 years later, which mostly manifests in our sports scenes. this whole meme has been like, the rest of the world awakening to a truth we Michiganders knew all along
