Hello Jason I send you the sun of Brittany on this Sunday morning. Your video will be a great help for all of us who try modeling !! I love your barnacles. Good week for you and your family.
Hey Jason, after all this time of watching your videos, I still can't put my finger on it, but watching your videos just makes me feel good! And I'm not even into trains or into architectural models. But your channel is pure therapy for me, which is even funnier since I don't really seem to struggle with anything major. I think it's your positive personality that just clicks with me. Your joy and your passion for this. PLEASE keep the videos coming, and please, NEVER finish your train set! Can I just make one little request? Sometimes you show us something close-up that you have been working on, zoom in really close but only give us a split-second to admire it, way to short to feast our eyes or learn from what you just showed us. Everything else is absolutely super cool! Fistbump!
Thank you so much for the kind words Norm!!! I truly appreciate it! If you want a closer look please follow my Facebook page at Jason Jensen Trains. Thanks for watching!!! 👍
Great episode Jason...that multi structure piece you finished up is just spectacular, well done! So much enjoy your channel and once again, your energy and modeling skills amaze!
Great looking buildings! 👍And I can't wait to see you build the fantastic kit from Fos Scale. You still inspire me a lot, and I learn things from every video! Thank you! Trond
Just incredible! I love watching these projects develop and come together. I am really learning so much from these videos, and just want to thank you again!
Finally caught up with all your railroad videos! Amazing info/tips/techniques. When I started watching I created a word document for notes. As of this evening it's 16 pages long LOL. So glad I found your channel and looking forward to your future videos! You are a master of your craft sir! Darn, saw this video too late, sold out :(
Thank you so much! By the way you did not miss out they are selling them in small groups so people don’t have to wait so long to get them. They will be selling more soon. Go to there website and sign up for the news letter so you will be notified of the next batch. Please watch my newest video “back to the future “. It give info on my two layouts and how they connect. Thank you!
Jason, a BIG thank you for yet another greatly detailed video. Your skills and attention to the fine detail is amazing. You also explain the techniques so well. You have helped me vastly improve my building and structure. Keep up the great work, and I am looking forward to the next video(s) on the whalf build. Cheers, and stay safe, Michael.
Hi Jason Thanks for another excellent video. The completed structure is awesome, but I have one observation to make. The rope safety barriers in their natural white colour always look too clean. I wonder if they might benefit from a Light Amber stain to simulate the brown colour they normally have. I love the idea of the car ferry extension, and the Fosscale Red Hook Bay building collection is probably my all time favourite kit. It should make an absolutely superb centrepiece for your model.
Thank you so very much Kevin!!! And yes, some day I will stain all of the rope on the layout. I should have stain all the rope to begin with, o well. Thanks for watching Kevin, I truly appreciate it!
hi jason awesome videos again thank you....man i watched your video in the morning telling us about the kit i ordered it . a hour later it sold out man what luck thanks so very much.mark
Jason, another outstanding video, I truly enjoy watching your videos the passion you have for trains along with your creativity in modeling is amazing and inspirational. You are so informative on modeling techniques as well as providing information on the various dealers you use that would complement the story portrayed on any layout. I appreciate the era you have recreated in your home layout. I would like to attempt a similar build but on a much smaller scale, my passion is HO scale do you have any recommendations on the type of locomotive I could use on my layout.
Thank you so very much Mario!!! I don’t really have any recommendations on engines. I usually go pretty cheap on my engines. I’m sure some day after I’m done buying structure kits I’ll buy some expensive engines! Thanks for watching!!! 👍
Jason, Super job. Some of the techniques I will be applying to my crafting box. When you start the RED HOOK model please include a link to Dave Fox's YT page or his ordering site. He is a great guy and the type of business man I enjoy doing business with. Jim
Walmart has that color of chalk paint as well as several others. What about using an old 35mm film canister for the water tanks on some of the structures.
Great finish to the buildings plus the fine details. Waiting for my order from Vetero stains to begin on the build for my HO friend of a saw mill. I am kit bashing an old wood E. Suydam kit, Do you know of any one who makes a HO Steam Donkey I bought one from Woodland it is metal and it is a mess.
Thank you so much Will!!! I always appreciate it! Sorry, don’t know of any. I also have the Woodland one. Seems like it would really take some work to make it look good but I’m sure it can be done. Good luck 👍
I really like your model building...absolutely brilliant! What kind of sponge do you use when sponging, any particular kind? Thanks for the beautiful work and instruction on how you create such amazing models!!
hey Jason I do enjoy watching your videos. Just one question for you when you use craft paint you don't squeeze the paint out the top you open it and stick a brush in and get paint out does this not contaminate the paint with other colors ? thanks for your inspiration you are Good.
Thank you so much Don!!! I’m sure all of my paints are contaminated with other colors. To me it makes them unique and no one else will have those colors on there layout. Being a full time artist I’m not to worried if colors are off a little bit, I think it just adds to the artistic feel of the layout. Thanks for watching!!! 👍
Ok, not into model trains (I did have an HO set back when I was a kid back in the 70's), but something about the thumbnail made me click this video... ....and holy cow! This is some amazing work you've done here! OMG So detailed! You make this look so easy... Do you plan to add electric lights to these buildings? That would be pretty cool!
Thank you so very much Oscar!!! I’m not adding lights because I want the entire layout room to have bright lights in it so people can see the hours of work on each structure. Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it! 👍
Hi Jason. I had a question that I hope you might be able to answer. My wife has a Cricut machine and I was wondering if it was possable to use it to make my own Building models for a train layout? Do you have any knowledge about this and if so could you possably point me in the right direction to get started with this ? Thanks and love your videos.
Hey Jason, as I've said elsewhere I love this structure, you've made a great job of it. Can I ask what font you used to make the stencil for the letters on the roof please? Thanks!
Hey there Jason; What scale of trains are you working with? Which model train's scale is closest to 1:64th scale vehicles? HO scale possibly? I know very little about the scales of model trains, but am most familiar with 1:64th Scale Diecast Vehicles like Hot Wheels and Matchboxes. Sorry to be a pedant, but there are very few points one can even attempt to (or want to) criticise you for. Yet more marvelous modeling - as ever clearly explained and reasoned through. I feel rotten raising this, but your skills are so great. I only raised the barnacle point because I was looking through some old postcards of a seaside village we used to stay in. Blooming barnacles everywhere (and muscles and limpets!).
Your passion for the hobby is contagious
I really appreciate hearing that Jim!!! 👍
Your attention to detail is amazing.
Thank you so much David!!! I really appreciate it!

Jason, you are not quit done yet, you need to add cleats so boats can tie up. You have one fairlead but no cleats.

No issue with your incredible modeling, but (if missed the video)how tie buildings to base ?
I used a little Liquid Nails to glue the wood structure to the styrofoam.

Hi Jason,
Just had a look on Doug's website and it appears that all the versions of this kit are sold out. I wonder if he'll produce another run.
He is going to sell them in small runs that way people can get them faster. Please follow his Facebook page for updates.
@@JasonJensenTrains Fair enough Jason, Thank you.
Any chance we could get you to do a video on building Wooden docks?
Jason, how do you cut the two inch pink foam to get smooth surfaces. I have tried cutting with a circular saw and end up with ruff surfaces.
I use a Proxxon hot wire cutter. One of the best tools I ever bought. Great investment! 👍
