What a great presentation! I think this video is great for new folks, it shows how much a track plan is a journey and it’s ok to revise multiple times… it takes time. I really like the design you have and the different era must be so neat to research and collect for.
You can add waybills to your operating plan for switching the cars. That will give it all a sense of purpose. It can take quite a bit of time to switch various customers
Really appreciate this video, and your paper mock up idea, as I'm really struggling with deciding on my layout at the moment, although "Boomer" has told me that my struggles will result in a better shelf layout in the long run.
Nice trackplan. I'm also into carfloat operation, and I'm even modeling the B&O. I'm wondering how you gone operat the un and off loading of the barge. Do you have enough lead to get the whole string of cars off the barge????? Where can I find your trackplan???? Ridzert Ritsma
Thanks! Perfect timing - just when I am getting started on my own.

I love how you solved the track spacing problem by adding a curve!
Yeah, that worked out well. Additionally, it added an additional tiny bit of track length. (every millimeter helps!)
Really great presentation. I enjoyed following your thought and design process.

Boomer!!
Great job walking through the process. I'm really liking this, although I'm thinking of doing it in N scale as that's my primary (for now) scale.
N scale is a great way to go! I almost went with N scale myself.

You could try one of these cross overs
When you focus on the story, the track plan just falls into place.
