    Companies need to make this size RV more often. I’m tired of the behemoth apocalypse vehicles. I want to be able to fit in any national park or any city we visit.

    What a sweet setup, my only concern is the huge lack of storage space. Where is there additional room for recovery gear, clothes, firewood, spare fuel, the single storage bay is nice but that's all it has? Seems like this truck would be good for a weekend getaway, but if you wanted to do anything serious in extent or off the beaten path (which is really what the platform is capable of) you would need way more space to store things. Had they built this on the extended cab platform you could have used the rear cab as a garage and extended the bed platform to have additional storage space for clothes/food etc, the single cab design seems to sacrifice too much for no real gain.
    Just my 2 cents, but man they did a beautiful job outfitting this setup!

    • @jimyeats
      @jimyeats Год назад +2

      Dirty gear or recovery gear could go in large storage box in the passenger rear, spare fuel would be an auxiliary tank underneath, and firewood…well, I’m not sure any rig has a great place for firewood other than a roof rack. Honestly carrying around firewood isn’t high on most folk priority lists anymore. Get a small collapsable fire-pit that just needs a small amount of wood, and that way you aren’t leaving fire rings around everywhere. Clothes generally get hung in the wet bath and stored in your travel bag. For additional storage you have an entire camper floor to store items that you might move outside once you get to your destination. It’s a compact off-road RV, compromises must be made.

    I think using an F350 would be a better chassis and payload suspension foundation. An F350 also has a higher rear gearing to push against the wind. A 6.7 diesel would be so much better. Much better gas mileage and so much more torque to keep it moving up and down mountain roads and long road trips, but thats a $10,000 option. And get it FX4 so it can go down dirt trails and when inclement weather hits.

    For me, I'd much prefer to make the ground floor dinette into a full queen-size bed instead of what looks like would be a double. And still have the bathroom accessible at night. But, the current design has the bathroom running east-west at the rear on the driver's side. With the door on the left, and taking up some of the rear space. In order to free up that extra bathroom door space, I would rotate the bathroom 90 degrees so that it's now running north-south, along the driver's side wall. I'd put it right behind the driver's seat with the door on the right instead of on the left as it is now. That would mean moving the small storage closet and the fridge. The fridge I would put up where the cab-over bed is now. I wouldn't use that bed for sleeping at all. The stove and the sink could be moved right to the back and would still be accessible during the day.

    Avoid ALL tiger builds. They are substandard.
    I had a 2021 tiger. It leaked like a sieve from day 1. i had to completely replace the solar system. Why? Because the company "premium" electrician and solar department wired the system BACKWARDS! Sparks shot out of an outlet. I immediately shut everything down and watched for fire.
    The "sealed" roof leaked. The door leaked. The windows leaked.
    The so-called flex between the cab and chassy was stretched until the entire seam leaked. I paid for insulation, so the unit would be 4 season. No insulation, so it could only be used spring or fall. The water piping was NOT connected, so I had to pay a company near me to complete the plumbing and have the grey and water tanks inlets/outlets actually work.
    I paid tiger to install an extra alternator, so the solar systems could be charged while the truck engine ran. The second alternator was destroyed by the bad wiring job. I had to pay another company to replace the ruined 2nd alternator and wiring.
    Tiger did not seal an opening they drilled into the fuel tank. When filling with fuel, I saw a steady stream of gas coming out of their drill hole. I had to pay another company to repair my gas tank.
    tiger improperly drilled a hole into my fuel pump. the hole was for an auxillary hanger for some extra wiring. tiger did not reimburse for the parts, labor or my hotel bill when I was stuck 1000 miles from home and the screw they put into my fuel pump destroyed that pump.
    The "clever" locking latches DO NOT HOLD". Even when running on smooth hiways, the "clever" locking latches popped open and the contaents fell on the floor to roll eveywhere.
    The bed/dinette is big enough for 2 people if those 2 people are the size of normal 10 year old kids.
    Nothing runs seamlessly in a tiger build. Everything had to be pulled up, pulled out, re-done, re-wired, re-built by real technicians.

    Cool camper. Hard to listen to you talk tho, your cadence is very distracting.
