Yes those hubs will need to be locked if you want four-wheel drive, they cannot be controlled through the transfer case that's why the lock is in the hub
You have to really go heavy 4 wheeling to bust them hubs. It's happens I done it before. I recommend the best no plastic, all metal parts hubs, Myself I like the old metal direct drive shifting to engage 4X4. Them electric & piss poor vacuum engage just are not trust worthy enough & most important I put very heavy duty hyd winches front & back very well installed. My old lady is wanting 1 bad. She as much maybe a bigger Hunter & Fisherwoman I guess proper word than I might be. Yes it's nice have Old Lady give the OK to buy the best. I checking out the basic platform frame & running gears set up now. But nothing ruined your trip us get stuck & have to walk. We more likely trailer 2 4x4 ATVs.
I had an old Willys Jeep Utility Wagon with locking hubs. And I agree with you. If you have hubs on the wheels you must lock them to obtain complete four-wheel drive. I generally did not keep mine locked because of mostly street driving, but you could if you wanted to. It won't hurt them but it will hurt fuel economy somewhat. And it's especially convenient if you are going in and out of four-wheel drive terrain. You don't want to be constantly getting in and out of your rig locking and unlocking hubs especially if you suddenly find yourself up to your hubs in cold, muddy water.
I had to stop this video at 2 minutes to just say thank you! Thank you for the walk around view of the motor home while you gave us some history and details! This is super clean for a 2013. I'd love to see a modern version of a compact 4x4 class C like this, but only class Bs come this small in the US. The smallest class C RVs start at about 24 ft these days and they don't have 4WD. I like class B vans but the extra width of a class C makes a huge difference in comfort and usability.
Class B's make no sense unless you're only using it as a bed/bathroom/make coffee. Avoid parking beside them at the RV park because they're outside all day No room inside! Just get a teardrop

How high? How heavy? How wide? Why don’t they put a window on the front? Facing east and having a beautiful sunrise wake you up is great. Plus riding up top is more enjoyable when you can see where you’re going. I have a K20 with a 9.5 slide in camper. Running the beach is great. Am looking at this and comparing it to mine, and the only good thing on this is being able to get into the living quarters without going outside. (I use to be able to squeeze thru the back window). It was nice seeing back up lights, big and bright enough to illuminate behind you.

great floor plan - perfect size for a single person traveling the country. Might be a little tight for a couple to use. What is the asking price? It's probably sold by now, but i sure do like it...
I emailed them, it went for 82. They're rare and the 4x4 was already done.
Great van. Nice setup. Really line that camper. New follower here. Crow✌️
Awesome motor home ! With that you can go anywhere. Maybe do new paint job & few updates on the interior other then that it would be a good one 😊
You 4x4 off the grid and you wouldn't like a couple of solar panels instead of a paint job?
@@garychristison763 add a solar panels& definitely be able to go anywhere
Love the layout
How much cost this and where you location
what a badass rig!
I covet these. Perfect size. Used to be Thor Majestic 19G, then I think Coleman had a role in making them too.
Yes The Thor and coleman 19ft units are a similar foot print but built in Indiana by a different company and completely different quality
Nice.. I want one. Thanks for the video
Been considering a similar rig... using a Chevy/GMC 5500 quad cab. It uses the van body shell.
As for the camper body, I really want to use foam/ aluminum structural panels, CNC cut.
I'm going for an "expedition" type rig, with matching trailer.
....
A regular camper doesn't come close to what I want. No other combination "fits" my toys, tools, etc.
This thing was for sale on craigslist for a while. Owner was asking 80K
Was wondering....
I was looking at a four winds 'majestic 19g' which is almost identical to this and they are going for $47k for 120k mile units. I'm shocked
Owner is out of his mind!!
@@Dontcensorme898 It's also equipped with the 5.4 V8 which is terrible for this platform.
@@cnguyen32 Why?
I know bob wells painted his abu all grey w bedliner paint. Cover those bad boy decals!!!
When will this become available? Do you have any idea what price range? I looked on your website & didn't find it listed. Thanks!
Exactly what I want ❤❤❤❤
Very nice. Would love that.
Would love this with the V10 instead of the 5.4
any particular reason?
yes viper v10 besy
@@randybobandy9828 the 5.4 are one of the least reliable motors ever made by Ford. The V10 fairs better.
@williamallen5369 gotcha, I have never owned a Ford except in 2004 when i was 16 I owned a 1993 explorer for 3 months until I could save up to get a better vehicle. I would prefer a diesel myself but the price of fuel is wild and has me thinking twice
