Seems perpetual rebuilding after hurricanes, would be a pain.

My friend moved to Ft. Myers over a year ago to help her mom. Her mom has passed and she and another family member inherited the house. She is the only one living in it. She had it on the market but it was only listed at $150K and after Ian hit, it went even lower. She owns the house, but not the property. It’s on land owned by an independent living facility. It’s really cute with a nice sun room and looks over a pond. She had a hard time getting interest. She took it off, but is currently trying to glow it up a bit to put it back on the market.

Thank you so much for your information. I live in Oakland California. We don't have any of these that you shared. We have earthquakes. The weather is cold most of the time except in summer. I want to move to Florida for my retirement. I don't know what city in Florida I should move in. Thank you in advanced.

he's lumped a lot of different cities as one, yes its gotten expensive for homes reactors have some blame as does local and federal government evey 3 yrs unnecessary addition to codes and restrictive zoning and yes taxes all politicians love raising taxes . overall it is tourist and part yr residents which while traffic it does keep from adding students to school and schools never build big enough they are full when opened but fact is cities will always allow too much growth its the problem of cities just be glad cities her dont allow criminals to run the streets like phila, nyc, LA chiacgo

Isn't this called "steering"? I am not a realtor but I am pretty sure that licensed agents are not allowed to tell people to stay away from an area. In Florida, if you ask a realtor about crime in an area, they are not even allowed to answer that question. They have to tell you to call the sheriff's office or something like that. So I am sure this is not allowed. It's just click bait. If I were a realtor, I would be reporting this guy.

Here is your answer and I'm happy I can educate you on this matter, In a real estate context, steering is an illegal form of housing discrimination. The federal Fair Housing Act passed in 1968 as part of the larger Civil Rights Act, prohibits real estate professionals from participating in this practice. This means they may not “steer” buyers either toward or away from neighborhoods based on any of the following:
      Race
      Color
      Religion
      Sex or gender
      Family status
      National origin
      Disability
non in this video I talk about any protected class. Thank you for your concern
