I bought Shapr3D because of your videos and how its integrated into your woodwork design! Now we getting an upgrade to roll out more upgrades! I’m stoked and love how you are THE Shapr source for all of us! Looking forward to more designing and building!
Shapr3D has been a life changing. I have a physical chronic injury and it gave me the ability to reinvent myself using an iPad since working at a desk is an issue. I create tabletop gaming terrain for 3D printing. I have no CAD background, Sharpr3D changed everything for me.
Oh you are sooo Bevelish! Hehe. I have always admired the UI of Shapr3D. So now I am looking forward to their updates and see which ideas I can borrow 🙂
this was great! I fooled around with the Shapr trial about a year ago, but got busy with other stuff. Redownloaded the trial last week and I was like "what?" all this UI stuff had changed. Thank for the breakdown. I will note though, for beginners like me, trying to go back and follow the online tutorials-- all of which seem to have been created with the old UI-- adds a bit of difficulty to the learning curve because you can't just mimic the tutorial's actions anymore-- so that part sucks a bit.
As a welder fabricator. Id love to see you do a chassis or roll cage . To use it for the panel for tube Bends based on radiuses of toolings. And cod mouth’s .
Love it! Great video..exciting update. So glad I’m new to Shapr3D…haven’t had time to get too used to where things are now.. so this update will be easy…lol thanks for an excellent presentation. Wish you had a complete Shapr3D 3d course…you do such a great job of demonstrating and explaining. 😊
Long time user here, it was really easy to get into with the new ui. The main thing i noticed was that they switched the undo button places which still throws me off 😂
@@BevelishCreations it’s because i don’t have a professional background, so I do all my rough drafts directly in CAD since I cant sketch to save my life 🤯
It is more mobile and much more user friendly. I speak as someone who never even thought about 3d modeling until about 6 months ago. Started out with fusion 360, while it is a very powerful program as far as I know. I happened to stumble across a bevelish video on shapr and haven’t opened fusion since lol. It is much easier to learn and use, for me anyway. Not saying anything bad about fusion just for me as a beginner I can actually use shapr3d in a proficient enough way to design woodworking projects and plans and make a living from it. I absolutely love this program.
This app is tipping the scales for me on apple products. I've always been anti-apple. I've dabbled in apple with ipods, iPhone 4gs, and iPhone 7. None of it left me liking apple except the iPad. But I've been noticing the apps for android are pretty trashy when you try to get more professional. I'm wondering if this app would work on a windows tablet. My brother has one lying around I think. I might try to see if I can borrow to test.
Video is cool indeed. Love it. Unfortunately, I just hate subscriptions! I don't make any money from my projects. So Fusion 360 is my tool, as it has the free version for home users.
Hi again Alex, at the end of this video you mentioned your promo code for getting 10% off the Shapr3D pro annual user license. Does that apply for every year after the first year or only the first year?
Hi Robert, I got a reply. The code is supposed to be for one year, but they don’t put an end date on the promo codes. So basically you’re grandfathered into the first price you pay.
I appreciate your videos. What do you do when you need to add things like caster wheels to your woodworking plans. Is there a plug-in or do you have to design them?
@@BevelishCreations do you have a tutorial on that? I am new to shaper and have a design I’m working on. I’m sure I can figure out how to do it, but if one exists, it would speed up my learning curve.
I'm very disappointed that they moved the back arrow up, because I used to press it with my left thumb , and not with the pencil and it's really uncomfortable
I second this ... I have no idea what we're they thinking ... I thought there was a way to move it around, but I am stuck with it at the top ... now I have to move my pen up all the time ... wasting time and focuse ... super disappointed
A floor plan would be easy. You could do the same thing for garden design too! Plop around circles for established sized plants, layer it all out like stadium seating so you can see all your plants, etc.
Sorry I don’t have a Windows Surface right now. Everything I have is Apple so it’s hard for me to justify purchasing a Windows Surface right now. If you’re looking for a midrange tablet, I’d recommend am iPad Air

Glad you like it! I’ve got more videos planned :)
Thank god there will FINALLY be a way to organize my parts into folders. This should have been a basic feature from the start.
Totally agree!

You have such a good vibe, make me smile. You convey info well and teach in a great way. Thanks
Thank you so much 😊 that’s one of the best comments ever
Just started learning this program.
Going to buy my first 3d printer and figured I would need it.
Quite expensive for just my hobby.

Thank you for the kind words. This gives me more motivation ☺️

There’s an undo button? 😯 I never make mistakes so I never noticed. Jk. It threw me off at first too, but now I’m used to it haha
@@BevelishCreations i use it way too much 😂😂😂

Your overview is invaluable!! Thank you for sharing your insights and practical expertise!
Thank you so much! Feel free to DM me if you have any questions
Pretty nice changes indeed, Alex! 😊
Thanks for the video!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Yes they are! ✌🏻
Great video, love the side by side comparison 👍
Thanks man
Never used this program but I'm now considering it so I can make 3D models on long trips to places I have to begrudgingly go to.
Try out the free version. Can’t hurt :D
@@BevelishCreations Cool definitely will.
AWESOME IMPROVEMENTS!
Yes! They’ve made even more improvements since I’ve published this video
This is such a cool video. I was thinking of learning fusion but this looks so appealing. Now I need an iPad 😅
Haha hey it works on MacOS and Windows too! This is definitely more mobile than Fusion360

Great video. The changes looks like a nice improvement. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Thanks for watching! And yeah it’s a big improvement!
Malakim salam!
great video, thanks, could you do one with an example of larger woodworking, for example building a barn shop?
I’ll see if I can fit it into the schedule next year :)
Maybe you could design me a whole house while you're @ it!
Edit: then a shopping mall. Just imagine how many lines you would need...
Отличный обзор👍 однозначно новая версия 🔥🔥🔥 работа в радость😻
Большое спасибо.
Also, can you advise how to accomplish the ESC function with Apple Pencil on iPad?
Just tap anywhere on the screen to drop the tool
Where is the forward and back buttons in the new UI? I don’t see where you discuss that?

Totally get it!
Part of the reason I'm considering Plasticity. One time buy and local files. Stuck with 1.x , but if it works well enough I wouldn't nec need 2.x
I looooveeee this video so much
Thank you!!!

Hi I’ve forwarded your question to the head of marketing over there. I’ll let you know once I hear back

I don’t think I included that in any videos. But I’m making another tutorial next month, I’ll be sure to add that in. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@BevelishCreations sounds good. I’ll looking out for it

Can you make floor plans for a house on this app thank you
Me personally? I haven’t made it before. But I’ve seen people do it
A floor plan would be easy.
You could do the same thing for garden design too! Plop around circles for established sized plants, layer it all out like stadium seating so you can see all your plants, etc.
Can I ask what kind of tablet are you using ? thanks.
iPad Pro M2
If we do the update, will our current designs get lost? Or will they auto-save and repopulate the new updated interface?
Everything is saved and you’ll see the new updated interface
I have a subscription to the mac version and i have to pay again for the iOS platform?
No. One subscription covers Tham all :)
could you make a comparaison between the ipad and windwos surface version and what would be the best midrange price portable device for shap3rd ?
Sorry I don’t have a Windows Surface right now. Everything I have is Apple so it’s hard for me to justify purchasing a Windows Surface right now. If you’re looking for a midrange tablet, I’d recommend am iPad Air
I use it on the iPad Air and it works great.
So does shapr3d do mirrored drawing yet?
I used that quite a bit in photoshop.
You’ll have to mirror it after you exit the sketch
I’m totally. new to Shaper 3D and found your tutorials; will you be updating that series to the new UI? If so, I think I’ll wait to dive in.
Hey thanks so much! I will create new tutorials with the new UI. Probably won’t be re-doing the same designs
@@BevelishCreations That’s great; thanks!!! Look forward to learning from you!
Same here, salute!
to expensive....
The free version is pretty good.
Invaluable.
The customer will pay for the software and more.
I will say the same, for 3d enthusiast , 32$+22% VAT per month is a bit over
