This video saved my bacon today. I got hung up on rear rotors not knowing that emergency brake pads would prevent my rear rotors from coming off. I purchased 12mm from Tacoma Screw to force rotor off. Big oops! The bolts are effective and tore the left side holding spring and pin lock component completely out! Thank you for explaining at 4:32 how to install the left side holding spring and pin lock and how to install the adjuster that releases the emergency brake pads.

Video very well done, just missing one very important part to the video which was the final part to the work being performed adjustment to the shoes.

Great camera angles and overall production quality. I do note that you just kind of glossed over showing how to back off the adjuster so that you can fit the new tophat rotor on, or that new shoes on an old un-turned drum won't sit nicely in the track created by the original shoes and will make the rotor/drum hard to get back on.

Can you help with a question on my 2005 highander? The parking brake is not completely holding on a hill while in N and brake pedal off but I'm not sure if this is an adjustment on the actual rear brakes, a turnbuckle on cable under the car, or adjusting nut on the actual parking brake pedal/cable.
