I just recently play Zero and I can't stop grinning like an idiot when this scene on screen. I love these 4 so much.
I agree. These four, specifically, make a great team and have great banter between each other. Trails from Zero does a great job at exploring their humble beginnings and showing their growth along the way, as they learn to trust and rely on each other to move on (or, to use Lloyd's expression, "to overcome each barrier").
For me, it's the Liberl gang.
I want to say this gang but its Tio and Randy for me. They are the best pair on screen when it comes to annoying everyone the hell.
Okay even Rean didn't step on that landmine.
Although his first interaction with Alisa was a landmine.
He steps on it when Elise is concerned.

People say Cold Steel is the arc about trains yet nowhere else in the series do we see a trainwreck like this conversation.
The way Lloyd's voice cracks from shock at 1:35 is just gold.
Tetsuya Kakihara is good at those voice cracks. His role as Natsu from Fairy Tail being a prime example. I watched some clips of the Japanse dub of Avatar, the Last Airbender, and he should've been the Japanese dub for Sokka, since he does sound like a Japanese Jack DeSana with his voice cracks.
Well, Lloyd is the most dense MC in all Trails series when it comes to romantic things after all 😂
well, that, and Japanese video game/anime writers seem to LOVE using this trope. WHY?

Man so many months later, I just realized that tio and randy said the "sitting on the tree" to agate and tita in CS3 as well. Man my favorite characters never miss a beat

Apparently CPD teaches its cadets pretty well in how to identify POIs /suspects purposely keeping their mouths shut but not when its prudent to do so yourself.
Either that, or Lloyd was busy playing Pom! Pom! Party! throughout those lessons.
@@seanhotinski1026 Lloyd never got into Pom! Pom! Party until Cold Steel 4. Tio's more tech savvy than he is. He never learned how the Orbal terminal until Tio taught him.

It bugged me that all this hinted romance was just that, just hints. I prefer the Liberl Arc in this regard.

Because Joshua and Estelle's relationship is written as part of the main story. Take out the hinted romance in the Crossbell arc, and it wouldn't change the story that much, but in Liberl arc?

Oh shit voice acting!? I really shouldnt have watched this but i couldnt resist lmao. I wonder if this game has a dub? Doubt it, but cant wait to start this game
It only has Japanese voice acting in the main story cutscenes, but I quickly got used to it, because the voice actors really suit the characters they depict, which is especially true of the SSS.
@@seanhotinski1026 I played trails in the sky 1-2 with no voice acting so I assumed this one didn't have any either. But I'm glad to know it does!

@@manutdfan231 Sky on Steam are not the Evolution versions just the standard PC release. Zero and Azure are ports of the Vita Evolution games not the original PSP ones. All Evo games have voice acting and in the case of Sky new portraits as well. So everything from Zero on will have voices on steam. Or you can do what he said and mod them in pretty easily.
And yet they almost kiss at the ending(By the player choice, of course)

Nah we ALL wanted It dubbed but the game is too niche.
Meanwhile God of War has even portuguese dub. Oh well.
@@bernardoheusi6146 Its not about being Niche man, its more the amount of work required (and money) to dub a game is immense. Fact of the matter is it took 12 years for them to localize this game (despite its relevance to events in cold steel 2-4 and reverie. Hell the ONLY reason it was finally localized was because Geofront had made the very good fan localization patch and NISA worked with them to release an official version after working over the script of Kai.
It also doesnt help that these games ARE HUGE the amount of dubbed lines they would need to would be a lot.
A dub would have involved more work and money and likely delayed the game even more which would also ruin their planned release timelines, which were already pretty late considering they announced the crossbell games and reverie localization 2 years ago.
It's all about money and release schedules, because Reverie has a dub, the ship just sailed for crossbell already, if they re-released the sky games today they would only go as far as touching up the localization and existing dub voicing or adding the japanese voice tracks from evo, but they wouldnt add a proper dub.
Simply not starting these games in dubbed is the key to not wanting them dubbed, you'll have to wait years eventually instead of playing English patched Japanese versions and if you do play those, you won't be used to the voices. lol
