As a fan you get to hear an artist's mixtape, and you start to believe in them in a time when they don't have a big following but you still listen aggressively to each and every release. COLE definitely has the number one spot, as we are 50 years into the genre, we are seeing a sort of gray spot where nobody is evolving the game with their flows.. everyone is just kind of sitting and releasing without actually trying to do anything new, Kendrick only released a year ago or so and there’s been nothing, drakes been shit for years and hasn’t evolved since mid 2010s. “Big” names in the game are just sitting around unlike J Cole, we have seen his music turn from “boring” and “mediocre” to consistently evolving. Getting better each and every feature and song he drops which is something I can’t say for really anybody in this game. with him dropping his final album soon enough, this album has MAD potential to be album of the DECADE. he has the chance to show his final work, his ever evolving skills and flows to make one last great piece of art that no doubt will be his best, it will all come full circle and he will be marked as one of the greatest… COLE WORLD 🙏
