I very much appreciate the sentiment, but I must come clean: 1) I don't help all living things, as I'm totally willing to kill in defense of myself, territory, or property. Mosquitos, for example, no holds barred. Aphids on my milkweed, you're getting squished. Ants patrolling the aphids, or trying to burrow into my front stairs, I hate you, and I want you dead. 2) I totally hate earwigs for no real rational reason, and I recognize that, but I find them utterly gross, and they stink. I sorta respect them, and am willing to read about them in books, and I understand that they have a valuable place in our ecosystem...but I admit...I go out of my way sometime to step on them. (I am slightly sorry about that one...but I also hate them fully.) 3) I do eat meat. (I don't shy away from vegetarian or even vegan meals, as I don't care...delicious is delicious, and there's lots of delicious vegetables, fruits, and grains out there.) Still, sentiment taken, and appreciated. Thank you for your care and interest in the Monarchs! 🦋🙏🤘
I truly appreciate that, very much. I wasn't sure if people would dig this or see it as a waste of time, and I know that I never want to waste anyone's time. So, your feedback really does mean a lot to me. Thank you for that, and for your interest in the Monarchs in the first place! 🦋
Ahhh Rich, thank you for sharing your behind the scenes updates. Some of the worst moments in life are saying goodbye to our furry family members. They leave a giant hole in our hearts. I’m so happy you got some new pups and look forward to seeing them in your upcoming videos. 😊
The new girls are so cute, love those little faces..lol. My condolences on the loss of the other babies, I know that feeling myself. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on the Monarch butterflies. I came across your channel a few years ago and have raised hundreds of Monarchs since. It's a great project for my nephew and I to do in the summer, and I have turned my yard into a mini habitat with milkweed, butterfly bushes, and other flowers so we could watch everything happen without having to go anywhere. Thanks again for sharing, and give those puppies a scratch behind the ears for me!..😎👍
Condolences appreciated. Bravo on the mini habitat. At a new residence, that's essentially what my wife and I are constructing this year (or rather, continuing). It's a ton of work, as I knew from the previous residence as well, so again, bravo! Pups scratched!
Anyone who has been lucky enough to be loved unconditionally by a pet, understands how truly heartbreaking it is to lose them. They take a piece of us with them when they go and they can never be replaced. But when/if the day comes that we let another one in, we realize that we fall in love with them for completely different reasons.
I had a scorpion, Copernicus, for five years. That's pretty long for an Emperor Scorpion. I shed many tears when he passed. And...that was just a scorpion. These two friends were tough ones. Nothing I'd have wanted on camera. Goodness, it was tough just to edit parts of this one. Still, I'm very pleased I made it, as this was the one video I can say, I have made for a selfish reason. That some have enjoyed it, well, makes it feel a bit less selfish, I suppose, which is a good thing. Thank you for that. 🙏🦋🤘
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback, as I questioned if a "Raising Monarchs" video that has nothing to do, like, at all with Monarchs should be posted. But, hey, that's what a "BTS" is for, right? 🦋🐕🦺🐕🦺
My pug helps me caring for my monarchs. Pugs are awesome, smart, Loving and telling jokes. RIP sasha and Louis.Welcome Roxy balboa and Ruby. Ruby looks like a Bugg.( Boston terrier/pug) My dearly departed Agnes was a bugg. I heard on coast to coast from a pet psychic that when a dog passes away they cross over peacefully once you get a new dog. Being that they think they take care of us. Pet psychic aside i like the idea of Agnes passing the torch to Olive❤❤
Hey hey, very cool! I've found two or three a day for the last three days. They're here! Might not be visiting our backyards for all of us, but, they're out there. I've been having luck in parking lots. 😊
I've been there losing a furry family member, your video has my tears falling. I know and knew your pain. Congratulations on the new family member. Hey to Roxy and Ruby ❤
Sorry about the tears, but of course, the pain exists as evidence of how much we cared, so for me, it's bittersweet, which does still include the word "sweet". I'm guessing you agree, I'd rather feel it than to have not felt at all. Thank you. 🙏🦋
God bless you and your pups.
Thank you for helping all living things!

Awesome behind the scenes video. I look forward to seeing sweet cameos over the summer as the monarchs visit you and your pups.

Thanks for sharing the pups with us. Pls tell them I said hi, give them a smooch for me.
Smooches applied! (I go for the nose, and often.) I appreciate you enjoying them! Thank you for the feedback. 🙏🙏

Sorry for your loss 🌈
Enjoyed the introduction of the new pups 🐶
Very much appreciated. And now that I know how to do them with keyboard shortcuts, here's some emojis to also express gratitude: 🐕🦺😁🌹👍🦋

@@MrLundScience Absolutely I'd rather loved and lost rather than never to have them in them in my life.
