The game really needs to make character customisation at least this complex: -Inkarnation - The version of the character, such as Human/Revenant/Burnt, Wraith/Human or Present/Past/Dimitri. -Costume - One of the six unique costume models. -Palette - The colour scheme for the outfit of choice.

sadly, as must as I love mk11 so much, I agree with this comment absolutely. NRS is being childish with their continuity and their kharacter development for mk11. They are not very smart with their own story, and I think this makes me mor angry for this 4 things: - first, they just decided to trash so much of mk11 on its story. They had dark raiden, kitana and liu kang as revenants and rulers of netherrealm, shang tsung (which was hinted from ermac's ending in mkX), onaga, blaze, the taven-daegon conflict, havik (and all of the chaos realm theme), nitara, the tekunin, the armageddon, etc. But they decided to throw all that just away and bring a whole new character with a shitty motivation like kronika. She just wanted to prevent liu kang and raiden from being a threat for her again, but she didn't think of killing liu kang's parents so he couldn't be ever be born, or kill directly liu kang and raiden while on her own time stop, or to make any villian stronger, as just did shao khan with sindel in mk9. My point is that they could use any intelligent or cooler villian, but they just created a new one with so many fails... - second, they decided to trash so much of mk11 on its characters: Kharacters from mkX that were killed, dissapeared or downgraded like erron black, d'vorah (she went from a "badass lady who killed baraka and mileena, and had the ability and the patience for YEARS to work with kotal khan while secretly be one of shinnok followers" to the victim of everyone's fatality or brutality in almost every video ever), takeda, kung jin (at least scorpion asked cassie and jacqui for takeda in some intro dialogs, but there is NO ONE who even mentions kung jin, not even his cousin), etc. Most importantly, some kharacters don't do anything really for the story of mk11 (or tell me, what was the REAL importance of erron black, jacqui, skarlet, noob or kabal on the story) - they just throw away so much from the 3D era: Kenshi is dead, and frost is the ONLY kharacter from the 3D era! there is no other!!! in MKX we had kenshi, bo rai cho, tanya, quan chi, shinnok himself, and the direct story cameo of Frost, Fujin, Li Mei, Moloch, Sareena. But this time we just have frost! and BruskPoet just mentioned how they had forgotten about the 3D era like it never existed.

I think a classic Frost skin can be do able. Like have the fleshy parts look like Alita’s doll suit from Alita: Battle Angel and then have the classic outfit over it or maybe have like an MK3 style cyber ninja outfit but feminized.
Sonya has some pretty good skins in MK11 luckily but sadly my girl Frost does have horrible skins I love her but I hate the whole cyber Frost thing I miss her being human MKDA was the best I want Frost back to normal
Well in reality there are about 3 COMPLETELY UNIQUE SKINS for each character, the other 3 are just slight variations on the first 3, with the rest of the skins being recolours of all 6
Frost was a female copy paste subzero back in the 3D era, yea she was cool but things needed to change. She needed to be different so they added a twist, cyber enhancements. It suited her character very well if you ask me and she looks cool as hell at that. Since I couldn’t get sektor, Cyrax, smoke or hydro Atleast give me 1 cyber ninja & that turned out to be frost.

All the skins in this game are disappointment, because every character literally only has 4 skins with about 5 palette swapped versions of it. When they announced how the Skins will be working in this game I figured we will get skins either directly from a reference to older MK material such as games, TV shows, and movies, with gear pieces the customized and personalized our versions of the characters we play as. But no they didn't give us anything close to that they gave us garbage redesigns, with a select few reaching something close to subpar. My favorite character in the franchise is Sub-Zero and I literally only like his story mode outfit and the two palette swapped versions of it that makes sense for him to be wearing, which are the white maskless look, and the dark blue maskless look. Other than that it's been a waste of time unlocking the skins that I know I'm never use on these characters
If all of that DLC does come out it will another 35 to 40 dollars for a game that is lossing its luster already and we are just now in the middle of the announced DLC cycle and at the rate of release that amount of content wouldn't be on the game till mid 2021 and this game doesn't have that retention factor that MKX did that would keep me playing for years after release and with all the games set to release in between now and then its it's R&G for color swaps isn't keeping anyone on here that long
I disagree with the Frost because she has some cool skins and her eye intro is the best intro in the game. Plus it’s very different from injustice where their lore plays no role but Frost’s role is due to her lore. she is a cyborg or cyberized ninja due to the Lin Kuei’s cyber initiative in which Sektor and Cyrax were converted and sub zero and smoke as well but during different timelines. The initiative was to turn them all into cyborgs so Frost returning...and turning herself into one makes sense since that was the goal of the Lin Kuei. I think Jacqui should be number one.

I have her concept art and it's a combination (which all of the designs in this game are) and it's a mixture of a couple of the other speeds. Idk where they got the toe shoes since it wasn't even there.

I have love for both the OG characters and the more recently introduced 3D era characters of MK. A majority of the 3D era characters at least. Like Havik, Li Mei, Frost, Sareena, Kenshi (who might be my favorite, honestly don't know how anyone could dislike a blind, telekinetic swordsman), Ashrah is alright and I feel like she has the potential to be really good in mk11 as most 3D era characters do.
I don't understand the difficulty in making Cassie costumes. I guess the drone complicates things but it should not. She's a soldier, so go ahead and give her some military cadet costumes, but she's also a teenager. Just go from there.
Yeah I agree the whole 60+ skins thing is all smoke and mirrors since for most characters that just means 6 generic outfits but with 10 different shades of color, because you know, everybody has been asking for yellow/green Skarlet. They should have just went with 5 or 6 skins each but VASTLY different from one another. Some characters did get a decent variety like Jacquie and Johnny Cage but some like Cassie I don't even know what the hell to do with her so I just leave her all in default.
The Harley Quinn skin wasn't an add for Birds of Pray, it was for the Joker DC crossover. A bunch of characters got some DC skins, such as Killer Croc with Baraka, and Darkseid with Geras.
I agree with Frost's designs being pretty awful, but I actually do like her becoming a Cyber. It's a neat idea in principle to have the Cyber Sub Zero idea stick around while giving Frost something new. I just wish she looked cool while being a cyber.
As someone who also sort of grew up with the 3D era. I personally am fine with Cyber Frost but it would be nice to have a Klassic Frost skin. That said I'm just glad to be able to play as her again.

No worries, I actually agree with you on Frost. Not only they could’ve simply brought back the classic outfits for her, but they could’ve simply adjust her special moves when she’s human. I mean, look at human Sektor and Cyrax in Mortal Kombat 9, at least there were changes with their moves and special moves to flow with their human appearance.
I like only one character design in mk11 and thats spawn everyone else looked terrible in my opinion. Once again in my opinion MORTAL KOMBAT 9 has the best character designs in the entire series.
There’s so little appreciation for the 3D era games. We need a real zombie Liu Kang skin, scorpion and sub zero from deception, maybe a Nitara skin for Skarlet. A kobra skin for one of the male martial artists so we can make our own budget Ken. Also add stages. From classic 2D games and 3D era games into mk11. Maybe adapt injustice stages. There’s a lot of awesome things nrs could do
Tbh the mass effect looking suits would've been cooler if: A.) Cassie's entire wardrobe wasn't a whole military setup. B.) The suit didn't have that faceplate thing.
I think the whole cyber-frost thing was because cyber-sub zero was a hit. So this was a way to bring that character back, at least spiritually, as well as bring back a fan favorite
When they put Frost in the story, they should have added her old timeline doppelganger like they did with a lot of the characters. Especially since she's seen quite a bit in the story as the new leader of the Cyber Lin Kuei after Sektor gets killed again.
They could make a frost skin kind like the new female terminator. A realistic human skin with outlines in between limbs. It would solve the problem that her head pops off during combos at the same time make her more human, like in the 3d era
I know this video is old and long before Aftermath but I’m glad to see a somewhat decent Klassic Frost skin now in the game, it’s not perfect but it is her best skin. All the skin released with Aftermath were good

All the skins in this game are disappointment, because every character literally only has 4 skins with about 5 palette swapped versions of it. When they announced how the Skins will be working in this game I figured we will get skins either directly from a reference to older MK material such as games, TV shows, and movies, with gear pieces the customized and personalized our versions of the characters we play as. But no they didn't give us anything close to that they gave us garbage redesigns, with a select few reaching something close to subpar. My favorite character in the franchise is Sub-Zero and I literally only like his story mode outfit and the two palette swapped versions of it that makes sense for him to be wearing, which are the white maskless look, and the dark blue maskless look. Other than that it's been a waste of time unlocking the skins that I know I'm never use on these characters

If all of that DLC does come out it will another 35 to 40 dollars for a game that is lossing its luster already and we are just now in the middle of the announced DLC cycle and at the rate of release that amount of content wouldn't be on the game till mid 2021 and this game doesn't have that retention factor that MKX did that would keep me playing for years after release and with all the games set to release in between now and then its it's R&G for color swaps isn't keeping anyone on here that long

I disagree with the Frost because she has some cool skins and her eye intro is the best intro in the game. Plus it’s very different from injustice where their lore plays no role but Frost’s role is due to her lore. she is a cyborg or cyberized ninja due to the Lin Kuei’s cyber initiative in which Sektor and Cyrax were converted and sub zero and smoke as well but during different timelines. The initiative was to turn them all into cyborgs so Frost returning...and turning herself into one makes sense since that was the goal of the Lin Kuei. I think Jacqui should be number one.
I honestly like all of her skins except for the one where she has spiky hair and weird clothes (Not the futuristic looking one, that ones badass)

I have love for both the OG characters and the more recently introduced 3D era characters of MK. A majority of the 3D era characters at least. Like Havik, Li Mei, Frost, Sareena, Kenshi (who might be my favorite, honestly don't know how anyone could dislike a blind, telekinetic swordsman), Ashrah is alright and I feel like she has the potential to be really good in mk11 as most 3D era characters do.

Yeah I agree the whole 60+ skins thing is all smoke and mirrors since for most characters that just means 6 generic outfits but with 10 different shades of color, because you know, everybody has been asking for yellow/green Skarlet. They should have just went with 5 or 6 skins each but VASTLY different from one another. Some characters did get a decent variety like Jacquie and Johnny Cage but some like Cassie I don't even know what the hell to do with her so I just leave her all in default.

The Harley Quinn skin wasn't an add for Birds of Pray, it was for the Joker DC crossover. A bunch of characters got some DC skins, such as Killer Croc with Baraka, and Darkseid with Geras.
I agree with Frost's designs being pretty awful, but I actually do like her becoming a Cyber. It's a neat idea in principle to have the Cyber Sub Zero idea stick around while giving Frost something new. I just wish she looked cool while being a cyber.

As someone who also sort of grew up with the 3D era. I personally am fine with Cyber Frost but it would be nice to have a Klassic Frost skin. That said I'm just glad to be able to play as her again.

No worries, I actually agree with you on Frost. Not only they could’ve simply brought back the classic outfits for her, but they could’ve simply adjust her special moves when she’s human. A kobra skin for one of the male martial artists so we can make our own budget Ken. Also add stages. From classic 2D games and 3D era games into mk11. Maybe adapt injustice stages. When they put Frost in the story, they should have added her old timeline doppelganger like they did with a lot of the characters. Especially since she's seen quite a bit in the story as the new leader of the Cyber Lin Kuei after Sektor gets killed again.

I know this video is old and long before Aftermath but I’m glad to see a somewhat decent Klassic Frost skin now in the game, it’s not perfect but it is her best skin. All the skin released with Aftermath were good
