      but he's the President so he should know the territories of the country he is the leader of. It's also been a territory since 1898, so over a hundred years, so not being aware its a territory when you live in the US is awful and shows the shittyness of the education system because you should learn about the fact that Puerto Rico is a territory when learning about the Spanish-American War. Also just the fact that Puerto Ricans are citizens of the US and you dont need a passport to go there, would be clues to the act that they are a territory.

      Well... Hopefully this in Porto Rico ends up in the US. As citizens and fully living in the US they will vote. Suddenly that 3 million trump lost the popularity would jump to 8.5 million at least.

    I just received a call from my friend in Puerto Rico. She said that everything is so much better thanks to the trophy. Her family has power, cell service, and most importantly food and water. Her 18 month old baby is now able to have fresh daipers. The streets are now clear and school is back in progress. The people of Puerto Rico said they wouldn't know what to do without the marvelous and tremendous trophy. Thank you Trump!

      CardinalGamer my grandparents, who live near Ponce, P.R., have no electricity or cell phone towers. they are and have been waiting in line everyday for about 3 hrs just to get the necessities: drinking water, food, and propane. they will probably be out of electricity for months & using propane for heating, as well as for cooking with their Coleman grill.

    • @owenjauregui
      @owenjauregui 6 лет назад +5

      What? Your logic is completely flawed because you're saying trump doesn't care about puetro rico since it doesn't have any electoral votes. Now, even though that makes sense grammatically, Trump would benefit massively if he both helped puetro rico and if it became a state. He has done what he can in helping with pueto rico, the help peuto rico needs isn't short term, it's a long term plan that will most likely last for another 5-10 years. Also Puerto Rico would most likely go for trump because of the island focus on the economy and (depending on how Trump's relations is within the next 3-7 years) would have gone for him in his reelection. My main question is, what would you have wanted trump to do. (Btw I'm not conservative and I have pretty Liberal leanings so if you can't convince me the we really have a big problem in our hands)

    • @ApparentlyJade
      @ApparentlyJade 6 лет назад +171

      "What would you have wanted trump to do." Well, I wouldn't have wanted him to attack the Mayor of San Juan on Twitter. I wouldn't have wanted him to go to the golf course. I wouldn't have wanted him to dedicate a shitty golf trophy. He could have done the exact same shit he did in Houston. At the very least make himself look like he's trying to help. Not rant on Twitter about the Mayor of San Juan being "Anti-Trump" or that Puerto Rico is in debt "and sadly must be dealt with". He could have shown that he was at least a decent human being.

      A simple google search: Though the Commonwealth government has its own tax laws, Puerto Ricans are also required to pay most US federal taxes,[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] with the major exception being that most residents do not have to pay the federal personal income tax.[9] In 2009, Puerto Rico paid $3.742 billion into the US Treasury.[10] Residents of Puerto Rico pay into Social Security, and are thus eligible for Social Security benefits upon retirement. However, they are excluded from the Supplemental Security Income.
      The federal taxes paid by Puerto Rico residents include import/export taxes,[11] Federal commodity taxes,[12] social security taxes,[13] among others. Residents also pay federal payroll taxes, such as Social Security[14] and Medicare taxes.[15]
      3 billion dollars is not "nothing", compared they are just an island. On the cocaine......well....where are the noses that love that shit? Guess where??

    When that man directed the attention to Puerto Rico's debt he has to be reminded that this country bailed out the banks, Wall Street and people like him that filed bankruptcy 11 times and got it 6. We paid for it, for his lifestyle, for his art to scam and pocket investments as of what he owes on debt before filing bankruptcy of 33 million dollars to Puerto Rico. He is not ashamed of it, he has to start up by paying back, all that money he pocketed from investors he has to pay it back to the american citizens that absorbed that debt. We are not fools, we know who he is.

Puerto Rico, like almost all vulnerable states, are victims of predatory lending and trapped in inescapable debt. torito 131, you are not a fool but there are millions who are.

    All joking aside, Puerto Rico is in big trouble. If things don't pick up for them, they will start facing a humanitarian issue because of the incompetence and insecurity of the most powerful a-hole where hundreds or thousands more will die from inaction.
    Not to downplay Las Vegas but it took just hours for Trump to respond with actual condolences but took nearly 2 weeks for him to respond to Puerto Rico with viscious attacks on people who desperately need food water and electricity still. And I hope the victims of Las Vegas continue to do better with all the blood drives but Puerto Ricans still need a lot more help

      Well yes but in thw islands we have a little goverment but it can't lead free but have to ask permition of the mainland goverment (USA goverment) is complicated but we can't export or import unless is by the us marine. And is super expensive , puertoricans are the best client of that marine because is the only one they can buy becauseof mainland's laws. And our intern "constitusion" it was fixed by mainland because it was to liberal and give them to much freedom. Is just a modern colony. Puertoricans pay taxes of the marine and what we receive is some % of the money we buy in marine products, social security ect. Is really long so I reccomend "The war against puertorricans" is a good book. If u speak spanish I have a good video who explain some maths about it. From an economist and a historiador.

      The pro-gun sentiment is the combination of history and culture that cannot be removed from some peoples' minds. People that have deep pockets and do not trust the government figured out with a bit acceptable collateral damage such as double amount of mass shootings in the US than such incidents in similar scale of all other developed countries combined, they could keep the gun culture alive and have power to defend themselves when shit-hits-the-fan events happen. Funny guns create more such events than they solve. Who knew.
      In short, this is another example on how small percentage of self-centered, not well informed population committing murder without taking the responsibility in the US. The several new GOP health care bills that got blocked and the tax reform bill are the other two examples.

    • @GiuseppePipia
      @GiuseppePipia 6 лет назад +18

      Yes, but when did that happen? Has it happened in the last century? Did they use guns to fight the government and local government and police that would treat some citizes in a racist way? Are they doing it even now against those racist people? No, the only way guns are used is for massacre, one after the other. Guns are to be used only for hunting and sport, in selected and controlled areas, and that's it. Not given to anybody without any limitation.

    • @ibmtpx24
      @ibmtpx24 6 лет назад +5

      Giuseppe Pipia - you hit the core of the gun issue. The only problem is you overestimate those pro-gun peoples' ability to think in bigger picture.
      They don't use guns to fight against racist people. More gun friendly states are from South and it can be traced back to the Civil War era.
