Don’t worry about not explaining for the paper-clips. I’m not the brightest button in the box but I ‘saw’ straightaway what you had done. I love the fact you have used blue for this journal. It’s a seldom used colour in vintage-type journals, I don’t know about anyone else but I get fed up of always seeing beige & shades of brown in hand-made journals.

OMG Eva! I was laughing out loud w/ your chair story!! I had a very similar situation when I was stuck inside a kayak due to a wet bathing suit creating strong suction! I literally could not push myself upwards enough to break that suction to get up & out of the seat & kayak.. It was especially bad when the waves at the waterline on the beach knocked me over sideways causing my head to get mildly smashed into the seashells & sand! This happened quite a few times which added to the whole experience. I can laugh now but it was so frustrating & humiliating. My son & his friends were laughing so hard they almost drowned! I was screaming for help before they realized that I truly needed their help to get out of that damn kayak! Then, once I did get out of it, I had a huge red suction "hickey" from the seat on my whole leg around. It lasted for a few days & was a constant reminder of that "joyful' experience. I had scrapes on the side of my face too from the sand & seashells grinding into my face from the waves when I was flipped sideways. I do love your laugh as well as your journals! Thank you for the templates too.

I just spit my hot tea on the monitor. Like you, Covid weight gain sucks and after Covid will it go away. I have the same kind of chair and the other night I needed to raise it. I pulled on the handle and my fat ass was too much weight and down to the floor I went. I was crying, laughing and cursing all at the same time. My jaw dropped and hit the desk when you started showing this journal. Wow! Just wow! You are amazing. It is too gorgeous for words.

Your story made me laugh!! It reminded me of when my sister and I went to a restaurant in America where they have all kinds and sizes of rocking chairs on their front porch for people who are waiting to sit in. Well, my sister, who seems to always get herself into things decided to place her huge bottom and wide hips in a child's rocker of all things!!! When our name was called to come in and be seated, she couldn't get the chair off of her butt!!! I never laughed so hard in my life and made sure I pointed her issue out to ALL the other people waiting to go in for dinner!!!

Hi Eva!!! You said my name right! It seems like we had the same ideas. I also shuck them down to half of the size. The tablet topper that I had mention is a note pad. Just as you used it. I was just thinking smaller notepads. I'm making a Sewing Journal right now, and I'll be using one for a fabric sampler topper to use with brads to attach to the page instead of glue . I like all your ideas that you add to your craft. As a child I also loved paper/stationary. I was always in that isle at the grocery store shopping with my mom. You are such an inspiration to all of us that love paper crafting. I'm still waiting to hear you say; Tim Holtz called you to join his team! have a great day!!! The chair story is so funny told my husband about it and we were laughing our heads off. Love the ideas for that tiny bit of paper with the paper clips. Who would think that one tiny bit of paper could be used in so many creative ways. You are amazing Eva. We all seem to have put on some COVID weight, I have too any way. Is it lack of exercise doing our normal things or is it emotional eating from worry about what is going on? Mmmm interesting. Any way my husband just said you have been watching that lady with the lovely giggle for so many years now, and I have and enjoyed every minute of it, thank you for making my day.

I just got a new chair.. I got it to hold up to 250 pounds, so hopefully I never get to that amount but who knows…. It should hold me , for another 100 pounds…

Lovely journals....really beautiful! I think we've all gained a bit of weight during this time. I started a diet 2 weeks ago (lost 6 lbs already!) Your chair story had me laughing! Brought back a memory of a similar time, as you say "moody" lol. My son told his friends "my mom isn't usually like this!" I still laugh about that.

Well Eva! I can make you feel better about that little office chair incident. I took a shower and was still a bit damp when I tried to pull my jeans on. They only got to my knees and refused to go any further. I blamed it on being wet so the fabric would not slide easily. I decided not to go grocery shopping that day because, well you know, no human needs to see me shuffling and struggling up the deli aisle with pants around my ankles. Of course, I still have no explanation for why I needed the "jaws of life" to get the jeans back off. I doubt you know what the jaws of life is but it is a very strong, giant pliers kind of tool that is meant to pry open car doors after awful car accidents to try to get the passengers out of the vehicle. I think I need my jaws wired shut. And about that book, don't eat it - no matter how tempting.

Oh I'm late to the party and missed out on the your amazing journal. Oh so many ideas, you amaze me, and crack me up at the same time. The visual of your chair debacle was hilarious. I pictured a turtle on its shell unable to roll back over, hee. If I can't get out to visit, I just enjoy your videos so much. Yep I have the covid weight too, dang. Well Eva! I can make you feel better about that little office chair incident. I took a shower and was still a bit damp when I tried to pull my jeans on. They only got to my knees and refused to go any further. I blamed it on being wet so the fabric would not slide easily. I decided not to go grocery shopping that day because, well you know, no human needs to see me shuffling and struggling up the deli aisle with pants around my ankles. Of course, I still have no explanation for why I needed the "jaws of life" to get the jeans back off. I doubt you know what the jaws of life is but it is a very strong, giant pliers kind of tool that is meant to pry open car doors after awful car accidents to try to get the passengers out of the vehicle. I think I need my jaws wired shut. And about that book, don't eat it - no matter how tempting.
