Ever noticed how national debt doesn't give you any information about the well being of it's citizens? Germany's national debt is lower than almost any other industrialized nations. Yet average standard of living is at a record low.

When the richest 200 Families own more wealth than half of the country, THE NATIONAL DEBT, GDP AND GROWTH RATE ARE COMPLETELY SECONDARY. France needs the pension age to be raised desperately. They're already retiring earlier than anyone else in the EU. The economy is stagnant since 2008. Good luck keeping your standard of living with this lazy attitude.

Thanks for showing your void of knowledge about the French retirement system. Before the reform, you already had to put in 42 full years of work to qualify for a full amount of pension. In the US that working minimum of years is 25 and that’s the same for Japan. If you started working after studies you start at 27 or 28 post grad/Bachelor and masters studies are usually combined in one degree. So the average educated French worker was always going to work until 67 for full benefits. The 62 age provision was for blue collar working class with harsh physical effects on the body. The average lifespan for this group is 8 years below the national average plus they often start working and paying in to the system as young as 16. Please really educate yourself. The majority of us weren’t protesting for ourselves (nothing has changed for us) but for the more vulnerable.
Not trying to be negative but all it takes is one bad incident with the wrong crowd and this conversation starts all over again. Good luck France don’t run out of money trying to please everyone🫶🏼
