What's up with people hating on if guy wears round toe, square toe, snip, or wide? A guy who worries about another guys footwear is weird anyway in my opinion.
Because they think its for fashion instead of work, but some of us have wide feet so sometimes we have to go with certain types of toe styles
Exactly my feet are very wide making wearing sniptoe very uncomfortable especially while working
@@abelardopascual6564 it's because cowboys are gay.
If a guy looks at others guys, comments on what they have on or how they dress, might need to get off the fence about their sexual preference. That’s just gay. That’s the type of stuff women do.

Everything to him is "traditional" .
I feel like this needs to be a drinking game.
“Grab the traditional off the top shelf for me”
David Eden's buddy David Eden's are for me but Cowboy boots have been around for decades and still going strong so that is a testament to that style of foot wear , I'm just a quality shoe guy and have never worn or own that type of footwear. Quality does cost a bit and that I do know.
Wow that last bit helped a whole lot, thank you
I didn't know Pete Wentz went to RCC for his boot fitting haha. Very informative. I've got a lot of "traditional" but thinking of grabbing a pair of snip toes too. Not a big fan of square toes and ropers but I know those work great for riders. But I'll stick to my bikes haha.
Great info. Keep em traditions alive.
Great tips for buying a perfect pair of boots! Thanks!
“A perfect fit may slip a bit” - i like that. Going to start using that.
Shoutout to Curtis, I needed to do some research to gift our son a new pair of boots as he is entering the Army “Adulting”. We are a classic round toe leather sole family. And after watching his straight forward presentation, my son says he will be staying with the round toe leather sole classic boot. Send Curtis & his family down to Texas & open a store here in Cedar ParkKeep up the good work.🤠
That square toe may be a "fashion" but it is actually the way boots and shoes were constructed in the 19th Century.
Very helpful introductory video. "heel slip" is not self-explanatory to a layperson. I noticed most youtube videos saying it without explanation. At first I thought it meant sliding toward the front of the boot.
Very imformative, thanks so much!
Finally some real information thanks
Thank you for this video. After a year of learning I find I still didn't know stuff. Almost ready to get some boots .
It's been 8 years have you found the boots you liked yet

Que maravillas las botas, me encantaron , las que mostró en 3er. Lugar, me encantaría visitar ese lugar, me compraría unos tres pares, saludos desde 🇨🇱👍
I got my boots last year and love to wear team got them for my b.day and I also did a photoshoot being a cowgirl me and my daughter
I got a medium scare boots Brown boots I love them. I prefer dark brown or black.
Good informative video.
I see Seth McFarlane decided to do some advertising after A Million Ways To Die In The West lol. Extra funding needed for TED 3?
Matthew Boomstick this here ☝️ comment caught me off guard. 😂
I love the boots
Super helpful!
Hi! Thanks for the information. I really, really liked the snip-toe boot you have in this demonstration. Would you be able to confirm what brand and style number that boot is? Thanks in advance.
Helpful thanks for the video
I love boots
Great tips♥️
I like them all
Love the way snip toes look but definitely couldn’t pull it off 😂 This Hawaiian paniolo has very wide feet and square toes are my best bet.
Ok, I ordered a pair of boots online (cause I had a coupon that was about to expire) and got a size 6 regular. I thought it was a bit snug on the arch so I returned them for a 6 wide. but the Wide is very loose on the ankle. After watching a few videos I'm thinking the 6 regular was actually the right fit all along. how do I know if I'm right? how should the ankle look?
great video.
Dude looks sharp. I wear and like square toe
Where and what kind of cowboy hat do you have I want to buy one just like that.
I have neuropathy in both of my feet and my ankles don't work so well got any suggestions on what type of boot i can get that i can put on without such a fight ? Standard boots are really hard to get on for me .
1:15 Lucchese Ostrich skin - this is exactly my second pair of boots. Fantastic boot, took a while to break in, great looking with jeans and the lady's love them ;.-)
All good and true, however, wore holes in mine within 12 months
@@JK-lp6uw No kidding, wow!
@@Sailingbill1 yes. Of course I wore them nearly every day too. Perhaps I am tough on my boots, I just them resolved and good as new, but I definitely love them!!
my Gosh, this is heaven, i love those books, wow

Anyone know the make and model of the round toe to the left of the square toe?
Question.... do l only wear these here boots when l go to the saloon ?
I was more focused on the Garth Brooks in the back round
Anyone else notice they were playing the instrumental from “mr policeman” by brad paisley?
I live in omaha ne. When i go to a western store they dont care they never tell you. Which boot can work for you most of the dudes are city boy
Life is Boots...Boots is Life!
I would love to know which boots you choose to stand on your feet all day with?
gotta have them medium square toe boots with some shiny apurs😍
Brad Paisley's "Mr. Policeman" in the background:)
Wow so traditional
I really want some cowboy boots if I can get a pair what do I have to do to get appare
Love Brad Paisley "Mr. Policeman" playing in the background.
Anyone know what that 4th pair is? The brown with the narrow square toe?
I like a snip toe so far, but I have narrow feet and don't wear mine in a work environment where I'm on my feet all day. If I wanted a pair to wear at my second job, I'd for sure get a pair with a more rounded toe.
Yeah globe...it doesn't have to be a snip toe exactly..but a more traditional round toe. If you go just a size wider..say "E" instead of "D" width and/or maybe 1/2 longer size, say 10 1/2 over your normal size !0.. you can accomodate a comfortable traditional more pointed style cowboy boot. With the right sole inserts, thick over the calf socks and the right heel heighth (not riding heels)...you can live in good cowboy boots.
I prefer packer boots with laces but hard to find them with western heels
Que hermosa botas me gusta a mi las tejanas marrón
I like the second type of boot what’s is called again?
I want those. Is it available online.? How do I find the correct size.?
What boots do YOU have on please?
Snip toe? Slip toe? What is the word he used for the third pair of boots he showed? I'm referring to the light brown pointy ones he showed.
My cowboy boots come right off as soon as I try to run. Is that because the leather sole is still new and will it go away the more I wear them? By the way you kinda look like Seth MacFarlane.
What kind of toe shape is the last boot ??
I love snip toe cowboy boots.
Seven years later links are not working.
Can anyone please tell me what the 4th boot is? The medium square toe. I think they’re Justin’s but I can’t figure out which ones.
They could be but Ariat makes one too. Their Roughstock Heritage model.
8 narrow, 16" shaft for women. That's the best thing anybody can offer, since we need that for riding. It's not a look, it's function. Best boot I own is a 16" shaft, and it's narrow and long.
Sir just we want buy how can we buy it
I have western work boots steel toe.
i have very skinny legs and cannot find cowgirl boots to fit my calfs, is there a brand made for people like me
Kelly Halliday there are custom boot makers who will take your measurements and make a pair to fit exactly the way you want them... it's pricey though
Can anyone please tell me the name of the 5th boot he picked up, The light tanned leather brown one.
Lil Len western boots 👢
Lil Len traditional western boots
It's a light, brown boot.
Sorry I meant brand..
That 2 boot what size
1:06 and 1:51 are the only style I'm wearing
what is the boot the 3rd one from the left (tip toe)
It's a lucassse ostrich belly leather in a snip toe. They are a nice pair of boots. It's on to buy list. Because of the leather and maker they are pricey. In the $500 ball park...
That guy is a city slicker if Ive ever seen one
Yet here you are on the fancy youtubes.
Fuck my nigga
Jay Vida So people who live in towns or cities can't wear Western Clothes? I didn't know you had to work with cow shit and horses to wear Western style clothing. Hope you don't wear a "baseball" cap unless you're a professional baseball player. 😒
@@Tig510Tig Or Jordans unless you are a black professional basketball player.
Ever see McCloud?
Oh, God. I didn't mean it to sound like that. Shaft of the boot, tall to protect against rubbing, and narrow because my feet are. Good Lord. NOT WHAT I MEANT.
Torditanel round toe is the nicest to eyes the squir toe is so funny looking
I don't have a local store to try on boots. Is there a way to order online without trying anything on in advance? Thanks
Chaparral boots on Facebook has awesome boots😎
email this information is all nice and good but I'm 24 and I've been wearing cowboy boots since I was 3 years old and I know what I like there are two Brands I will buy Justin or Twisted X and my boots absolutely have to have a leather sole
Also should have shown some good medium toe boots
Is having heel slip in a rubber sole boot ok like in a leather soled boot? I have tried on a few boots and didn't know if that was ok to have 1/4-1/2" of heel slip with a rubber sole? Thanks for the great video too!
Yes, same thing.
For anybody that might still be reading comments on this video, can anybody possibly tell me what to look out for when buying boots online? These will be my first purchase of boots and it looks like there isn't any convenient place in my city to buy boots and find my size locally
MightyKingMonstar don't buy online, there are far too many variables between boot manufacturers and styles. Whatever your shoe size is will not be your boot size, trust me. Go into a proper boot shop and try on several pairs till you find 'your' boots
Even if a shop doesn't have your size they can help you determine what you really need.
For example, I wear a size 10.5 regular shoe but a 9.5 wide boot and it changes again if trying on a square toe boot.
Boots are simply too expensive to not do the proper research and physically try out before buying
I agree with the other post. Try on in person first. Just Google for western wear stores, make your way to one, try on various sizes and styles and see what brand and size is best for you, and then buy. Or if you want to buy online you'll have better results. And lastly, don't listen to narrow minded people's opinions of which style they do or don't like. Square toe, round toe, wide square, snip... And since when do guys care so damn much about another man's footwear??
@@romulusremus7537 well said... I like snip toes and I know I'm not in fashion but who cares!!!!
The older I get the more I don't care. I always look nice when I'm in public that's all that matters to me.
Square toe for work and narrow toe doe dress for me.
Are long will leather soles last in the cold wet British climate?
It is not a matter of lasting but you will find them to be pretty slippery on wet pavement, especially if there are leaves on it. And on ice or snow? Forget it.
Can't line dance on saw dust floors with a Rubber sole. Leather fits a foot Rubber doesn't over time.
Tony lamas! ;)
What’s the best squared tie boot for bull riding
Jeremiah Booker if your asking that, you probably shouldn't be bull riding.
@@linetrash4298 just answer his fucking question dude

Then at 0:17 the video quality kicks in and I'm like "Ohh! He's not wearing a digital camo shirt, after all."
I wear size 12 in a standard shoe, should I get a sauce 12 boot?
Drake Dineff depends on boot manufacturer and the toe style. I wear 12 shoes and an 11 in justin and Nocona 11 1/2 in ariats.
Drake Dineff yeah get sauce instead
Yeah, well that's just, like, your opinion man....
I like cowboy boots so much that I want to bite them and eat them 😁 I have to order a birthday cake in the shape of cowboy boots

Nobody needs square toed boots.
How bout the fresh timbs Dogg. Shit be looking dope
Word, dude. But dis be a diffrent kind of choe.
True story, to all the dudes on here: I work in a profession that's mostly women, and when the topic of boots came up at lunch one day, not a single one thought wide square toe was cool. One honestly said she thought they were for "special needs" guys with foot deformities! There seems to be a push by some corporate entity to push these "wide square toes" onto the market. More comfortable? Well heck, just wear Uggs around, or even those rubber Crocs, if you really couldn't care less what you look like. Anyway, free will and all, just tryna help a brother out, as they say.
I’m surprised to hear this. Square toe is my favorite for men or women.
I own pointed Luccheses, snip toe, ropers, round toe Ariats, etc. My wife only likes wide square toed boots. The most compliments I’ve gotten on them has been from ladies, so your hypothesis is wrong.
i'd rather be comfortable in my square toes than develop bunions, foot issues and hip issues trying to look "fashionable" to other people, i also prefer the look of square toe boots.
i'd wager that most of those women wear high heels, which are terrible for your feet and hips and one of the main reasons that bunions are so much more common on women than men, good luck trying to get comfortable in narrow boots once you get bunions.
Thinking about buying some square toe all I have is round
nooooo don't do it stay round toe, next thing you`ll be buying a chain bikers wallet and big ugly silver rings!!
Square toe is super comfortable, especially for us bigger guys.
Who cares ? BE QUIET.
Round is all you need. The square toe is a temporary fad.
Square toe is soooo comfortable and I believe boots were originally made this way at the turn of the 20th century.
