Hello guys, thank you for watching this video, I hope you find it helpful. *The aim of this video is to show you guys the easiest way to draft strapless bodice and also how to sew it neatly and for you to see the final look* You will need an undersupport for your tube top, bust padding for firm support, boning or interfacing. You'll need to cut out the wadding like we normally do, and if you are stabilizing it with interfacing, cut out your interfacing like the fabric and iron it on, for boning you'll create a casing for its passage. It will come out nice and stable. This is a guide for you to achieve a neatly made tube top. See you in my next tutorial. Ma, you're amazing. I understood every single thing and I'm just a beginner who's teaching herself how to sew. God bless you ma. This is the most comprehensive tutorial I've had thus far.
Love watching you make patterns.. I see a lot of people make garments on the internet but I don't get the pattern. You explain everything like a professional. And I know this because I work professionally in the fashion industry since I was 19 years old and I'm 61
Wow wow, I can see it's something that you enjoy doing, that's about 42years ago. Am glad you found my pattern easy to understand. Thanks for the compliment sir
Actually I been sewing sense 11 years old 1969.. I was makeing everything.. I love sewing so much I would stay up every night thinking about how to put things together I used Simplicity patterns in Vogue patterns. By the time I was like 13 years old my parents didn't give me an allowance with anymore because I was making my own money. I work for a lot of couturier's on 7th Avenue by the time I was 19. I just love art I make all kind of jewelry I reupholster furniture I make all kind of artwork I refinish furniture my house looks like an art museum . I just love it. I'm also a DJ And producer singer. Hi. Tired of sewing because it became too much 12 hours a day 7 days a week from my last job was for Isaac Mizrahi. And I I start playing music I had always been buying music and playing it at my home. So it was like a natural engagement for me. I've been all over the world. My bio is ridiculous honey. People can't even believe it but it's all true. Sometimes people think that you just one-dimensional.
Oh I dud really know how to use This app well. BUT at am know.. ok 1 inch consist like this 1/32 ,1/8,1\4, 3\8, 1\2, 5\8, 3\4, 7\8, is one inch. Is 25 cm. I had to figure that one out for myself. Cuz I only work in inches. But I can see them from across the room I'm so used to it
OMG! Thank you for posting this video. As a very beginner in sewing, this is the kind of video I’ve been looking for. Love it!!! Perfect tutorial for everybody. I’ve used my machine for sewing reusable face masks only (that’s all I know), but after watching this video, oh definitely I will try to make it. Wish me luck!!
Thanks...I made it today on muslin...n it came out very nice. Thanks for explaining everything in detail... Specially like the bust curving detail and dart ...will use it in other cloths as well. Love...from Mumbai...
Thank you ma this tutorial was really helpful....and it came out really nice on a first try..... I look forward to more tutorials form you ma ....thank you
I love your tutorials! Me being an plus size woman, I love sewing things that would accommodate my size. Question, When cutting the top out, should I extend the length longer to accommodate the thickness of my waist just half way ( the measurement between waist and hip)?
The length will be determined by the style you are making and also if you don't have protuded tummy. If you do have, it would be nice to have the length at your waist if you're adding flare to it. If you're making it a crop top, let it go down below your waist
Thank you very much this tutorial is indeed of a huge help to me but then i have a simple question. What if what you have between your bust point and under bust did not get to your center front what will you do? Thanks. Hope i get a quick respond.
This is so simple to learn... I am grateful... Please if u can also teach how to add a bust pad to the strapless bodice, I will be appreciate... Thanks
Aww that’s why I got it wrong 😭😭I didn’t realise you cut the lining together same time . I will make it right next time 👌💖thank you somuch for your fantastic video 🙏🙏
