- Quick and easy "fun fold" fabric coasters using a fabric folding technique. These are super quick and simple to whip up in a hurry for a last minute gift, but will be loved throughout the year by the person who receives it on your gift list!
Thank you for your tutorial!! I made a bunch of these for gifts. One neat hint - you can open up the middle and slip a stemmed wine glass in it and the coaster will stay on your glass. Don't have to use wine charms and you can sit your stemmed glass down wherever you'd like.
Our church is having a craft bazaar this weekend, I’m going to make some of these!
This is a very good tutorial. Great gift idea. Can't wait to run downstairs and try my hand at making one. I will be a nice break from all of the cov-19 face masks I have been making for family and friends.
TYJane!
Cute fabric. I use a wooden chop stick to push out the corners for the coasters and hot pads I’ve made. 🙂
So fun! I’ve been making 10” hot pads with this pattern for Christmas gifts.
Oh gosh you sound like a very nice an caring person . Love your voice . These are beautiful I'm like you I just love the reproduction fabrics. Takes me back to my child hood . But anyhow these colors are gorgeous an the pink with the Christmas Decor on is out of this world . I don't care for bright reds an greens for Christmas fabric . These are wonderful. Do you know if their available to buy some where? Thanks so much for your enjoyable video . I saved this to give me inspiration to make these . And will subscribe. Thanks Again. 💝
These are great! I'm going to try them tonight.
Very nice, will be trying this later today. Thank you!

Thank you Rosie! This fabric was designed by Elea Lutz, she designs for Riley Blake. She has a lot of vintage fabrics that are super cute.

Great tutorial
Sweet, have some more of it
I had bought a set of Christmas coasters like you made at a yard sale and now I know how they were made. Thanks for sharing.
+Nancy Hansen I'm so happy you now have the pattern to make them! Its a fun and simple gift to make for yourself or someone else.
C'mon...show us a couple of your bo-bos :) I just made my first one and it not exactly square. Good tip re pinning in all those areas; I just used two pins but will use your tip next one. Thanks.
Hi, I was watching your tutorial and .i heard you say when you were growing up it reminds you of wooded ornaments from Germany. My question is were you over there and if so what years? I only ask because my ex-husband was in the Army and you so remind me of someone I knew back when we were over there. Thank you for a great step by step tutorial ! I also love old old vintage material!
Hi Deborah, I'm so sorry I'm just seeing your comment and you left it a year ago! No, I was never in Germany, my family has a lot of German ancestry though.
Does anyone know if there are more videos in this series?
This is "Gift 3" ....12 days of gifts..
Since these are coasters, shouldn't they have a filler like batting or fleece sandwiched in them. I make them with fleece in the middle.
Nice job...I really enjoyed the video.
There are several layers of fabric already so I've never found that a filler is needed; if you were going to use these or a larger one for a very hot pot etc then you might like to to put a heat reflective layer in!

You don't want finer glasses to tip due to uneven padding.
Thank you for the tutorial! Just made some and at the end I top-stiched them. I will sure make more as gifts! Greetings from Greece 🌞
Maureen Pue that’s true! Thank you for the tutorial! I really enjoyed it!

Sally, this generous lady too her own time to share with us and you have a complaint. Just move on if you don't want to invest the time or fast forward. No need for complaint.
Just get to the tutorial, you spend too much time just talking in the intro.
too much talking
Too much chatter...you ran out of time. Brilliant! Get right to the point in the very beginning, we don't have all day.........
Hello Sally Perhaps you should practice some grace. Just fast forward and no need for negative comments. Maybe you should try putting on a youtube channel and see how well you do public speaking. Again, practice some grace.
