❤❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘hahaha i love when some one finds Gacharic Spin for the first time and this was the perfect song to start with. do not try to explain or break down what they do it constantly changes they have had many iterations of the band over the years all of them are wild crazy unexpected and played with a skill level amature musicains like me can only dream of I highly recommend you do 'I Wish I " next , the official video . then check out some live stuff it is amazing to see them do these insanely complex songs as well or even better live and no band i have ever seen live in over 6 decades now has the onstage energy Gacharic Spin has . as a side note there is a making of video of them doing this one it helps explain a few things such as the instrument destruction
Love these ladies, subjectively the best 🎸🤘💃😎 Just commented on your more recent Lovebites vid, when you mentioned Spurts of notes between sections of songs, this guitarist came to mind immediately. She’s soooo able to play whatever, but mostly serves the song, which in their case is only sometimes metal, but they ask her for a flurry in other instances and she can really deliver. Yes it’s most often funk bass oriented (play to your strengths!), but they are soooo versatile and prolific, the core 4 of them actually have multiple signed bands/brands, with this one being the oldest, primary, catch-all for the diversity. Whether it’s the prog keyboard solos and Latin street drumming like this one, or mixing metal kick drumming with dance/disco hihats, or punk guitar with clean piano, or choreography whilst performing the guitar leads, or putting humorous skits and sarcastic titles with beautiful heartfelt ballad harmony vocals, they’re not afraid to try anything to be entertaining, and in fact are basically known for the super high-energy chaos of putting it all in at once in many of their songs. Not for everyone. But Wow 🤯
They are a cool band, and were also in a zombie movie. As far as I can see you have covered Gacharic Spin a few times, Nemophila, Jiluka, Lovebites, Passcode, Hanabie, Unlucky Morpheus, Trident, Gungir, Ladybaby etc. So who are we missing? @@heavymetaltruckers Yep, and not just metal. Band-Maid is my favorite band right now and they are more hard rock with some intricate pop/punk/prog mixed in. Otoboke Beaver is hard punk and super fun, Senri Kawaguchi is hard funk and one the best drummers on earth and Hiromi is in another universe on jazz piano. It goes on and on!
It was hard for me to know what you thought of tis song until the very end. Yes, these women are extremely talented and this song was a heavy bass funk driven progressive song with a solo right out of the jazz-rock fusion genre that was popular back in the 70's. One thing about Gacharic Spin, expect the unexpected because they will throw a mix of genres into their song writing blender and somehow make it work. Also, they are one of those bands that are even better live with high energy that is sometimes off the charts. Geriatric Spin! Awesome LOL But otoh, nothing elderly about them at all - they are not heavy per se, but they have rock in their bones - especially if you check out their "alter ego" band Doll$boxx, when they collaborate with Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus. Cheers :)
