- Today is 11/22/23, my 4th ninjaversary. And it’s hard to believe that 4 years of ninja have come and gone for me. Time flies. In some aspects I would have thought I’d be better already, but then let’s not forget that I had some huge setbacks and tragedies in my health journey and if you add that all up I need to actually be grateful that I’m still even able to walk without pain, let alone do ninja the way I do. I don’t know how much time I still have before my body won’t let me anymore, but at this point I’m living up my health freedom. Today 4 years ago I walked into the Dexterity Depot for the very first time with Kristy Tucker in tow, cause I was scared to go alone by myself. I pretty quickly caught on and realized there is nothing to be scared of. These days you need to kick me out of this gym at closing time, cause I don’t want to go home. It’s become my 2nd family and home in a country where I don’t have a family and on a whole other continent far away from home. On the 5th of this month I’ve also had my 20 year anniversary of living in the US. To celebrate that I’ve competed at the Depot this past weekend and it was a good comp. What did I think would be easy? Stepping on the coffins. What did I think would be hard? There was an obstacle with bosu balls right in front of the warped wall. I think, I would have run into some trouble there. But I ended up not getting there. What am I especially proud of? The fact that this is my 2nd competition in a row without a single mistake. I ended up being timed out. I need more confidence to go faster yet. All in due time. We’re working on speed and efficiency. Many thanks to Matt Bradley for an awesome course and thanks to the @DexterityDepot for hosting. Thanks to Alex Moseley for coaching me. Thanks to Paula Scott Morrison for filming. Great job, ladies, to Jennifer Naugle Bryant for 1st and Paula for 2nd. This was a bronze for me. 💪💪💪
