Hi , What's new in this ice skate , and how is skate better ? What kind of skates are these skates based on?

So I actually just ordered these they haven’t even shipped yet, but I figured I’d grab a slim tongue since I’m coming from the old nexus line and I have a thick foot. The problem is no one even has an xs slim tongue size large. Not CCM, Not IW, HM, pureh I’ve got my fingers crossed they fit, but why is CCM pushing interchangeable tongues when they’re impossible to find.

Unfortunately, this is the last line to have the replaceable tongues. Each line including this year's Tacks line do not have the replaceable tongues. If you do find an XS Slim tongue, I'd buy two just in case!

@@ice.warehousethen you should have said that in the video you posted 2 weeks ago. Interesting response considering I’m still well within my return period. “Drop another 150 if you can find em?” Not really what I was expecting. You guys have been the best online shop I’ve ever dealt with. Especially with rare and hard to find stuff. Idk we’ll see. I’m not even bothering now. I’ll skate them as is and return if necessary.

I said it in the Xtra review and looks like I missed in this one (ruclips.net/video/oQLLucf3VJI/видео.html). I'm a huge fan of the XS tongue system and am bummed they're going away from it. These skates should last you a long time which is why I would personally try to snag that second tongue for backup down the line since there absolutely won't be a chance to find one in a few years. I don't blame you for wanting to return them and that's partly why we took it upon ourselves to offer the Satisfaction Guarantee even though CCM ended the program.

I feel your pain buddy, lol. I can’t find any senior sizes myself.
😮‍💨 luckily i had snag the last regular tongue on iw few months back.

👀! You guys have these, too?! 😄 I still want these skates, back. Might end up purchasing a pair of these ones at iw sometime later on. Had a little set back with these ccms. Not sure what size to buy, now.
I'd recently purchased the xtra se about 2 months ago, but I had to return them because of a tight-pinching sensation around the little toe in the left boot, only. (This part, here: 4:22 right at the protection area just before my toes fully sits inside the toe box) Before buying the se, I went to a local hockey store to try on the ft680 in a 9 regular and felt the same pinching feeling at the time; reason I'd gone with wide for the se, but when the skates came, unfortunately, the wide didn't fix the issue 😅
My relaxed fit in a vapor is 9ee. Pro fit would be 8.5ee. I was told that the jetspeed line should relatively fit like vapors but even when I got scanned using ccm's scan machine, my results came back as 9.5 regular.
🤔 I began to wonder if current jetspeed skates are cut .5" smaller than vapors? Something is telling me that the recommended 9.5 regular would probably alleviate the toe-pinching, but my brain is telling me 9.5 would be too big 😆

Interesting, did you figure out which size you fit in? I've never been a fan of having to go with a longer skater to accommodate a wider foot, something I've had to deal since I have such a tall arch.

@@romahnae just fyi they have the best return policy on these man. I have deep wide feet so I can’t even try anything out locally. I’m L8.5(fit 2) R9 (fit 3) with a C insole(high arches) The machine said 9, the guys at the shop said 9, turns out 8.5 was perfect.
Originally I bought 9’s they felt very comfy out of the box. After the heat fit the toe area felt a little long but coming from Bauer nexus 1000’s with their huge toe box I wrote it off because of the smaller toe cap on these. But after skating on them my feet sun in a little more and it was apparent they were the wrong size. No problems, ordered 8.5 abs sent the 9’s back.
The 8.5 actually felt a bit tight when I got them. After heat fitting they were perfect though.
The skates are awesome, and I would have been stuck with the wrong size of it wasn’t for IW.

(Receives package 📦… opens up boxes, 👀 sees skates… 😩 grabs and cradles skates like a baby rocking back and forth in a corner)
Chase! 😀, Chase!! 😃 i’ve figured it out. I’ve found the solution. It wasn’t a volume thing, the problem was a sizing issue. I want to thank you for that 🚫 9.5 save as well. I grabbed the last 8.5 wide on the site, 😆
The pinching sensation that i was experiencing is noticeably decreased 🎉
The level of stiffness on these are a better option for me, compared to the xtra se i had. 😅
I do miss the tongues on those, though! I get lace bite due to how tight i do my skates up. Overall i’m happy with this purchase. These were the skates i planned to settle down in. 😎
Gonna get an extra set of waxed laces and some step steel black blades to go with em. 🤙🏾
      Thanks again, Chase.

Your dilemma sounds just like mine, my friend. 😂
Glad it turned out good. I went with an 8.5 wide, myself. Turns out the 8.5 feels the best in terms of performance. My index toe on my left foot is a little longer than the rest of my toes, so i do feel a lil bit of discomfort when sitting, but i still prefer this pro type of fitting than the comfort fit. Lol, i don’t think i can wear my sz 9 skates anymore. 😄

How do these skates compare to the ccm control skates?

    • @romahnae
      @romahnae 2 месяца назад

Edit: Same concept, really identical... only differences are, the control skates have the thicker tongue that you see comes on the ft6 pros, these xtra pluses do not. The tongues on these are similar to the ft6s
Uh, 😬... I believe the stiffness rating on both the control and xtra plus skates are the same, at 165. I would get the controls over these though, just for that pro tongue. But I personally would get these over the pros because of the looks 😄 and the skate lvl.

Can I get a stiffer boot where the holder connects? Iv'e gone through 4 pairs of CCM's in a single year. I buy CCM because Bauer's tuuk lightspeed edge holders bend/break in a week and a half of use, While the xs holders last longer than CCM's boots do.

What skate are you getting if you don't mind me asking? The top price points have the stiffest construction and going to offer you the best support and durability.

What even is rocket frame? What material is the boot made from?

Also, what’s the base boot for this skate?

    • @ice.warehouse

RocketFrame is the type of composite they're using, which is lightweight, moldable and very responsive.
