I got some Custom Plus ASV-Pro in December and this looks to be basically those with the Jetspeed tongue - which is what I ordered. That is not a bad thing. They are the best skates I've ever worn. Extremely comfortable and extremely stiff - which I love. Just on paper these seem like the perfect iteration of what they already did really well.
Rest in piece RibCor.. that was my personal favorite line too but at least CCM's bringing many of those awesome features both to Tacks and JetSpeed. Chase at IW Hockey
Anybody with the XF70's here? How do you like them, and do you know roughly what an XF70 skate weighs in grams in a senior size for reference? Recently discovered I really prefer light weight above all else, and these entry level skates of late seem to deliver on that significantly better than the premium skates.
To sum up each CCM line, the Tacks is built perfectly for the north-to-south power skater, someone who seeks pure top-end speed. The JetSpeed line is all about maximum acceleration and the player who thrives on agility through east-to-west movements. Brandon at IW Hockey
My experience with the pro is that the shell is brittle. Maybe the xf is not brittle. My xf pros shattered in the heel down to the carbon. Most expensive skates I’ve bought, least durable I’ve ever owned. Maybe they would be good figure skates but not made for contact hockey.
So it looks like they abandoned the replaceable tongue with this line too eh? Everyone gets the tongue that the skate ships with? They certainly look nice.
Yep, CCM decided to move away from the replaceable tongue system. The XF Pro Tongue is so dang comfortable you won't want to change it! Brandon at IW Hockey
got myself xf 90 coming from vapors. also tried on supreme skates but the comfort of tacks skates compared to supreme was the selling point for me. dare i say they are even more comfortable than regular walking shoes. gonna try em out on ice today.🥷
@@ice.warehouse tried them out and yep they're as good as i thought they were gonna be when i tried them on at the store. very comfortable and even though the liner is soft the support of the boot is real good. didn't even need to heat them up. i was worried about the lateral movement capability compared to vapors but that is not a problem at all. also, the strides i can take with these are way more explosive compared to vapors. just a really awesome pair of skates overall.🙌

When do the 110Ks come out? I'll accept the re-release of the 80Ks. These XF/XF Pro skates do look great.
CCM isn't running the Ribcor line anymore.
@@wllj0551 I know. I’m depressed about it. They killed the P30 curve too.

Do these skates put you at a more forward stance like the vapors do?
I just got a pair of XF pro skates I’m so exited to wear them but I don’t want to get any scratches on them 😅
I hear ya, that first scratch is gut wrenching!

is there a type of foward player you would not recommend those skates ?

CCM has knocked the Tacks comfort level out of the park this year! Let us know how they did!
