I’m currently in Japan teaching English and I hope to introduce some hockey basics to my students someday. And I love the fact that Chara’s stick had another feature…cheering for you all the way from Japan (from an Oilers fan) I really miss some hockey and am super excited for the new season. Any advice on what my starters would be for my students? I know they are excited to learn something new from Canada. Appreciate it so much!
I am a 31yo, 6'8'', 250lbs former basketball player (Chara like numbers and I am Slovak aswell roflmao ) who started to skate this year and I am going to start playing hockey from the next season. You got a big merit on it aswell! I would love to use the Chara stick but I am right handed unfortunatelly :D Thank you guys :)
Whether you play in an organized league or not, you should still take at least an hour a month to do whatever it is that will keep you young at heart. Just putting on a pair of skates for an open skating session or going out to your local outdoor rink in winter will benefit you personally and your loved ones more than you can think. Taking a few hours to do whatever it is that makes you happy will keep you young at heart and make you happier in the long run.
Always try to showcase your strengths. Take some deep breaths before and visualize you going through drills and performing so it feels like you've already done it, that way you're more prepared / confident. Be a good listener, focus, and hustle. Coaches love focus and hard work.
As someone who's never played hockey but have been a catcher my whole life, and I can skate pretty well forwards and backwards, how tf do I begin playing hockey at 31? I know goalies are technically supposed to be the best skaters on the ice, but I can absolutely flash the leather and take a shot in net.
I am in the locker room getting ready for my first hockey game!! You inspired me to start playing!! Thx
Let’s go!!!! Have fun out there 👊
@@CoachJeremy I won 5-2 lol

0:45 or 0:46 for the people who can from shorts, great video Jeremy keep it up!
No clappers in a Canadian men's league seems wild to me. In Michigan at my local rink, even in the 50+ league the guys are ripping clappers.
I’ve never heard of such tomfoolery, tbh. That’s a soft league
They allow clappers in my league in Montreal. It’s also a lot more fast/intense than this.
I’ve played d in a shitty league where everyone ripped clappers with zero accuracy and it was sketch as hell lol
That's so crazy. I've never even heard of that rule. Really nerfs the D-men. 90% of my goals on D have been clappers I'd be pissed
Man, Hayden playing defense in that game was elite. No one got by him 😂😂
Best shift of my life 😎
We'll need rules for 2-line poke checks.
I miss playing hockey. Havent even skated since covid.
I would love to be a part of this kind of hockey match / team. Such a good vibe through and through. Haven't skated since 2015 though. This was great!

It’s like riding a bike you’ll get your bearings back in no time don’t let that keep you back
Dude! Congrats on the million subs. That’s insane
now we need a chara vs colt stick to see which one comes out on top
Man I haven’t played since late winter last year I gotta get back to it soon
no slapshot rule? never heard of that in my life
the only time i hear no slapshots is in gym class lol
Hey I have a tryout for hockey today and last night I did horrible cause of how rusty I was do you got any tips to help me

How many injuries have you seen from slap shots? It’s not rocket science bro
Never heard of a mens league with a no slap shot rule.
