I honestly can't envision a scenario where a ported sub could possibly be as accurate as a sealed sub in a studio monitor setup. I just can't. Studio monitors by definition should provide the flattest response possible, which a ported sub can't possibly do, because of the overemphasis of certain low frequencies due to the shape of the enclosure and position and size of the port. If anyone here is looking for a legit studio monitor subwoofer, they should be looking at sealed subs, not ported.

Fixed!
Just bought this bastard, holy Christmas!
I'm wondering how it would do with dubstep
I'd imagine pretty great, this thing is a beast with bass and can be customized to give you as much bass as you like
Crazy these don’t have a protective grill though given most of them will go on the floor under a desk in a home studio! Positively stupid design flaw that has prevented me buying one.
I know for sure that u can buy a grill from somewhere, but i cant find it :( if anyone know hit me with a link in comm
great vid man, if i had my room treated i would buy a sub or my room drwons from the sub basses lol
I have my room treated but being in an apartment I keep it very subtle
@@JacobDarkOfficial i live in an apartment as well, i just have awkward two door room so little tricky to treat
@@peterjonassen5107 Gotcha, yea the dream is to one day have my channel do so well I can afford my own big office space, like 14x20 and set up my RUclips studio there, the bedroom is kinda cramped!
but how do u mix without treatment though i have krk v4 and even these 4 inch monitors need room treatment
Anyone else feel like the sound is different on this video? I've been binging Jacob's review videos to finalize an interface purchase and this one sounds...different.
I agree that sub KRK foe the win. Very good for HI{HOP.
Oh shiet bro!! Im rocking a pair of krk 5. Now u made me feel like shiet. There goes my wallet
Lol sorry about that
The krk s8.4 does the job too 🔥🔥holy fuck it does it only took one night to know that
Nice
which speakers inch are you using with? and how much is your studio?
Creative Gigaworks T40 II, is this KRK's little cousin?
It would be great to review. Sub $100 champ? maybe..
If these are anything like the Rokit line it's a hard pass for me. Rokit monitors sound TERRIBLE!
I'm personally not a KRK fan either, however, these subs are a different beast as far as subs go, the 10.4 specifically
Thanks
Review the 18" PRORECK sub, I dare you 😏
