  • Hope you had a good summer break. Every week (unless I'm too busy), we review one interesting research paper. This week, we are going to look at how researchers were able to trigger prosocial helping altruistic behaviors in birds and how they explained these behaviors.

    I watched both of your videos about altruism and I appreciate the endeavor and overall quality of them. I think the only way to get different results is if we assume there is only one Consciousness manifesting itself through different points of observation. In a dualistic world there's no way to prove pure altruism, the word "pure" doesn't actually mean anything in such an illusory perspective. If instead we experience the unity of consciousness, we realise that what was perceived as a selfish act or point of view is nothing but a necessary tool to the experience of the whole, therefore it is always, overall pure as there is only one Self.
