From statistics, lecturers tend not to fail the students verbal examination. If you are the person who researched and wrote your dissertation, it is very unlikely that you will fail your Viva Voce. The basic purpose of the oral examination is ascertain that you the one who completed the research and dissertation. Good luck!

A lot of questions were just clarifications and last question is “what would you have done differently?” You got this!! Prepare a question bank and practice! Good luck!

As someone who experienced this, I would add know the limitations to your study and the potential biases from the methods uswd during data collection to statistical analyses. Why you chose these methods and what were the alternatives you considered but did not use

After the viva, the chairman told me that I was not nervous. What was there to be nervous about, it was my thesis, and I knew backwards what I had written. Also, a mock viva with my supervisors was most helpful.
As always, attack is the best form of defence. That is, if you can silence your opponent with some smart counter questions, then he will stick to his generic pattern and things go smoothly.
Practice, practice, practice to train your self in a complicated situation and expect the worse and hardship that you need to overcome, we need to love and be excited to face the challenges.

The one problem is that the computer I was using didn’t allow me to use presenter mode where I would see my notes and the audience would see only the slides.
