- On the 29th of September 1924 Alfred Ash bought Packwood House at Auction. 118 years later thanks to the National Trust we are able to visit this beautiful example of an English Country House. Walls lined with stunning tapestries, carved wood and Delft tiles even Queen Mary made a visit in 1927 and took tea, her cup and saucer are in a small glass display cabinet! On June 30th 1941 Baron Ash gave Packwood Park and Gardens, along with £30,000 to the National Trust in memory of his parents. His wishes were that fresh flowers were arranged in rooms, and these are grown in the gardens.
If you love English Country Houses, this is another stunning example and I hope you enjoy our walk through. The Garden are spectacular, especially the Yew Garden.

Packwood Country House & Gardens Tour to gentle music | National Trust | Walk with me
Hello and thank you for watching my house tours. If you are new here and have subscribed Welcome, if you have been with me for a while, thank you for your continued support! Many of the NT houses are shortening their opening times or closing for the season, so we will have some to share followed by some festive fun up to the end of the year. Thanks again Callie x
Just wonderful. You really have to got an appreciation of history and the arts to appreciate these fine homes. They are so much more pleasing to my eyes than all these modern over done homes today. But its a matter of preference
Love these house tours reminders of my visits
Thank you! That's lovely to know. Packwood is amazing isn't it? I loved all the tappestries, did you have any favourite rooms?
Wow cozy n beautiful 😮
It is a lovely house, you can imagine reading books, fires and hot chocolate!
what a lovely place, and the music makes it all the more enjoyable, just like floating in a dream
Thank you, that's a lovely thing to say and I am so pleased you enjoyed it!
Many thanks for these beautiful pictures of the property and the gardens.
You are most welcome, and I am so pleased you enjoyed them! I am hoping to get back there during the winter and spring to see the difference in the gardens. xx
love the tapestries.....absolutely stunning
They are, and so many! He must have spent a fortune on them, or they just weren't THAT fashionable at the time of buying!
What a beautiful video, music is so relaxing and content is so well edited, I enjoy these videos. Hence this is the only subscription I have has as a Patreon. And I spend many winter hours watching fishing channels and free horror movies.
Hope you all enjoy this video
Awww thanks Dennis, I really appreciate your feed back and I love that you love a good walk through too! As for Patreon, thanks again.....it buys me a cuppa at the National Trust cafe, so you are helping them too! BONUS!!
Abraço do Brasil.
What a lovely house. Welldone Baron Ash! And you for filming it so thoroughly. But I have a question? Is there a teasel head on all the chairs you are not supposed to sit down on?
aha! you spotted the teasels! Yes! You are right! Some houses have a pine cone! They do this on a house where you are part of the room, some houses are roped off so you just get a walk through, such as Calke Abbey.
what is the title of the beautiful music at the beginning of this video ?
Hi James, the first piece of music is by Aakash Gaandi via youtube's license for creators, it's called Dreamland. This is his YT: ruclips.net/user/88keystoeuphoria
