This video is just a proof of concept that shows how you can potentially make Zev Ronso go from an excellent offensive Midfielder to an otherworldly defensive force who can use Wither Tackle 3 or Nap Tackle 3 to complement his superb Block stat.
This is not a practical recommendation though, because to do it you have to get Tech Find as a tournament prize first, unlock either Wither Tackle 3 or Nap Tackle 3, then soft reset the tournament prizes until the relevant tackle tech comes up, and win that too.

The low chances of the specific prizes coming up (particularly getting the tackle tech to come up as a tournament prize) can make this an arduous process. It also isn't necessary purely because Zev is an excellent midfielder anyway as long as you put a Forward with good Attack, for example Wedge or Shaami, alongside him.
This is really only for pre-airship Blitzball too; if you've got the Airship then you've got access to Brother. Brother is stupidly good for early Blitzball and Zev is never quite as good as him.

Watching this video back, there is a slightly-less-OP but much easier way of going about this; you can reset the tournament until Tech Find is a prize, and then unlock the Nap Tackle 2 or Wither Tackle 2 slot.
You can then learn whichever skill you've chosen: Nap Tackle 2 from Blappa (Psyches) or Wither Tackle 2 from Irga or Nuvy Ronso (Ronso Fangs, obviously!).
I'd DEFINITELY recommend Wither Tackle 2 out of the two. It's much easier to learn because more players can learn it early on. It can be difficult to get Blappa to actually have Nap Tackle 2 equipped in his tech slot because he knows a bunch of other techs and often uses them instead.
I always have Zev Ronso paired with Tidus as my main shooters. Between the Jecht Shot and Zev's insane endurance, the other team's attackers are basically non-existent. I had one instance where there where four teammates going against Zev. He tanked through two of them, dodged the other two, and he STILL made a goal. Absolute legend.
He's a beast.

so when i google list the best blitzball players they never have zev and he is always a go to on my squad dude is a beast
Yeah, it's such a shame that he doesn't get ANY tackle techs naturally. If you get him one (like here) he's an absolute BEAST.
He is godlike offensively anyway, and is by far the best midfielder available if you want to play in Luca anyway. I love Zev.
Giving Zev Tackle 3 techs so early like this is like giving Tidus Zanmato

I actually realised later it's considerably better to give him the Tech Find for WT2 and then just learn that from one of the Ronso defenders in a match. Easier, quicker and also Zev can use it better because it's a lower HP cost.
do you keep the tech find activate if you reset the blitz ?
And what about the jech shoot 2 ? If you reset is it disapear ?
