Honestly people always complain about catless cars smelling, personally I don’t notice it on my catless Mazdaspeed and on my friends cars that are catless the same for them. I will say I smell more gas but I also have an upgraded fuel pump but tbh I like the smell of gas so it doesn’t bother me

Add a catted dp and you wont have that smell. Or not nearly as much and regardless of what ppl say its not that much hp loss.
I’m kind of surprised with the gas milage. My friend used to have a n54 335 and was getting like 14-15mpg but just got a 2012 n55 e92 335i and is on normal stage 2 right now with some burbles as well, currently getting around 29mpg even when he pushes it. He also calculated it off of how many miles and stuff he drove rather than just looking at the number it shows you. He was well over 400 miles on his last tank

Stock boost and not yet tuned as I need to replace some other things before turning it up.

@@user-ek5qu6he6m no. The higher the boost the more it has a potential to misfire with stock coils. I replaced mine for preventive maintenance with Delphi ones.

How do you deal with full bolt-ons and SMOG? I don't have to worry for another 2 years, but I just moved to CA and bought a 335i, and all this SMOG talk is overwhelming. Is it really something to worry about?
Well you do have to put your cats back in to pass smog but like getting in trouble for it no just don’t act stupid and cops usually won’t mess with you

The gas in some states is made to burn lighter so it doesn't pollute the air, which is why it's more expensive.
Cries in uk fuel prices, equates to $8.50 for regular and $9.50+ for vpower

Dom my car have been super reliable, only thing is the abs 1 time both the hydralic unit snd the ecu box for the abs😅 i would take a 335i all day, 350z is kinda badass but slow cuz of the NA engine but if u can put a turbo on that thing it will work too hehe😁

dude.. i'm practically FBO minus downpipes ( but do have VRSF race exhaust) and get 30 on the highway and up to 20+ in town.. if you're suckin gas either your foot is lead, or, you have an issue. and my odo is 182K, so probably higher miles than you too.

You will feel a difference!!!!!!
Big difference from stock I have downpipes and intake and custom tune around 400whp
Having driven one stock and having my current one at 414whp 448wtq. You will feel it. I know what you mean, some cars gain horsepower but you can’t feel it, that’s because they sometimes don’t gain as much torque. These N54’s with Twins end up having an insane amount of head snapping torque and early in the powerband. The difference between stock and tuned feels like you are driving a whole different car. I am getting upgraded twins too soon cause my turbos are going out.

So Bassically I needa upgrade chargepipe,hoses,radiator, intercooler and during it the LPFP as well with the maintenance beforehand with new coils and hoepfully already having index 12 injectors and doing each gasket with waterpump and new thermostat I would say right? Then full exhuast single if I can and all the other kids on top?

No not necessary, when you push more more then gas mileage goes down

correct me if im wrong but arent the lci 335's equipped with n55 engines? i also heard n55's arent that tuneable but are more reliable is that true?
There are LCI n54’s as well but you are correct the n55 isn’t as tunable but it’s still pretty tunable
2009-2010 335i have n54. In 2011 bmw switched to n55.

I kept my secondary cats and u get zero of the smell issues......I’ve had multiple gutted supras and rx7s ect this is nothing for smell issues in comparisons .....u got leaks on o2 sensors? Or other leaks? Cause please I see none of these smell probs on same 40/60e85 , what I do experience the E 85 really really changed my sound it went full aggressive rev roar type noises similar to my Mikva supra......sorry guys nothing can ever ever compete with a supra single externally gated for sound sorry I don’t wanna hear anyone’s opinions I’m telling u straight up total bias , BMW does have lots of better qualities like almost zero lag ect lag way easier bpu supra term or FBO tunability though I love them both but I’m comparing cars in different leagues and these n54,n55 cars are massive bang for buck and look almost sleeper to a lot of cars around Australia cause BMW have very subtle style changes so those not familiar u can really surprise an unexpected car that thought it was fast 👍

Understand that the intercooler for the E60 is a bit different from the 335i n54. Theirs special made intercooler only since the oil cooler is in the way on ur stock intercooler. Also the downpipe as well.

for some reason i my boost target is over boosting so i boost at 19.1 psi and boost target 21.7 psi on MHD E30 map. car feels so good but i know 100% it is overboosting
@@Stock.B58 E30 map and up have more boost because the ethanol helps cool the engine. Kinda(but not) like running methanol.

Did e85 cause the fuel pump problem?
Caused misfire on the top end because I was on stock plugs but I went one step colder and now it runs great. My logs show my pump is fine with it but every car is different and I’ll be upgrading soon anyways to be safe (:
