I've found wearing a cooling vest underneath my Alpinestar airbag vest with a textured breathable jacket. Gives me airflow and protection at the same time. Cuz nobody likes cooking out in the heat especially when stuck in traffic in a downtown area.
We hear you...but those in the southern parts of the USA and especially in the southwest (Las Vegas Texas and Arizona) where the temperature over the 2 months will be a crazy 100 to 107 plus nothing will work but you riding at night😂
I'm prepping for a long ride right now and have a soaked evaporative cooling vest in the freezer. A soaked neck too gaitor cools the blood in the jugulars and doubles up for sunburn protection
Stay cool and safe! I wish i could take a long ride, maybe one day when I get the time when I finish this house renovation crap.
Thanks CC! Hopefully the renovations are finished up by the fall!
350 mile test ride done...now DC to Maine for a lobster roll 😂
It depends on your location also, the humidity ect... In the Southwest anything above 99-100 you should not wear mesh or undress more. The heat and wind will suck the life out of you. You actually need to cover up! Agreed about hydration packs as you will not notice being dehydrated. High humidity... mesh seems to work better. There is a reason the desert bedouins wear coverings....
Yeah it gets hot as hell down in the SW. I don't know how y'all can live down there. However, the winter has great weather there.
@@CycleCruza Originally from the North East and after 12 years here I actually miss the 4 seasons, just not the snow !
Had to ride in 45c weather today and im always wearing my summer jacket and pants both mesh with full armor protection so i can be protected and avoid direct contact with the sun, which is super dangerous. I highly recommend that everyone drink electrolytes before AND after the ride. Your priority is to be hydrated at all times. Dont take risks fellas.
I prefer Fox Racing and Icon gear.. it's a bit expensive, but like you said, you get what you pay for.. to each is own. AFX helmets are an inexpensive, but effective helmet as well. The AFX has for sure saved my life on several occasions.
Cyclecruza -Is that your wr250r on cycle trader
Also my r1 is cookin me in Florida lately. It’s 96 and my bikes 214 when the fans kick on.
Im really considering getting that 450 and converting it to a dual sport just like yours.
Thanks for the great advice
I wear underarmor heat gear, tech air 5 airbag, one piece white leather suit, full face helmet, gloves and boots. Riding 100 miles of twisties on a gsxr 1000 in Alabama, 94* no problem. The white leather reflects a lot of heat. If it's too hot for gear it's too hot to ride.
Those Klim smart wool socks are excellent. Just got back from a 3500 mile ride to Badlands National park, Black Hills, Sturgis S.D. On my GSA 1250. Wore the socks every day.
Because of you I got that CE armor in white! You out here keeping me safe down south by Gods' grace! Preciate you homey! #NO_F'D_UP_DAYZ
Alpinestar copper gloves are great for people with shorter fingers. 👍👍 very breathable nice an tight, doesn't get stuck to the velcro, etc.
Just started watching the video...CycleCruza 85F for me is spring time, 110F is summer in my area. I got a cooling vest, but its still hot.
Motocross helmet w goggles & earplugs. Full face feels like a fools face when it is hot
Just had my suspension tricked out I'm so hanging for a ride, but its getting cold in the southern hemisphere.
Should be a good watch it's going to be in the 90s in a few days. Been thinking about me to look into all new gear especially pants. Not very comfortable putting on moist pants when I go to leave from work LOL
Definitely wear the motorcycle pants, if you ever go down your legs take the worst beating. I learned the hard way when I crashed on that Chinese scooter back in the day wearing jeans. That day I went and bought some proper motorcycle pants and a jacket with CE armor and haven't looked back. Stay safe and cool!
@@CycleCruza ya i got these pants few years ago. Some cheap alpha gear pants on Amazon . They were like 80 bucks they have the padding in the knees and hips. Waterproof, vent on leg. I wear all year fairly comfortable, but do not breath. Soaked when take off. I need some pants like the ce armour jacket. Sedici ones look kinda thick on camera. Just like mine just much better made and more expensive. Ive had no issues w my pants other than heat. Feel a little slippery sliding on seat sometimes.
Hey cycle cruza can you make a video about BUELL motorcycles?
CycleCruza I agree with ya 💯 percent about wearing gear and being safe on the road but damn it sure makes it hard to go for a ride when it's 107 outside and a Dewpoint of 80 living in tropical central Florida when it feels like you're a meatloaf in the oven cooking sucks😂
The weather is great
Would that jacket’s mesh hold up well in a slide? I was looking at similar ones made by Astars. Would suck to go down and have it fall apart on you.
Show the guns off😂😂😂
If you love to ride your motorbike, you should war the right gear and live to ride another day. Simple if you want to be cool, don't be a fool
I ride my 125cc town bike when it's hot
The little bikes are nice. Superbikes will cook you in the summer.
Ayo!
Hey!
Bro let’s invent an air conditioned helmet. 🤔 Put the power source & components in a backpack complete with a usb power bank, a water drip hose and anchors for your airbag vest
The helmet would probably be too heavy. All I can say is this Bell helmet I love flows air the best and has a lining that helps keep you cool. I'm sure one day somebody will invent an air conditioned helmet tho.
I wouldn't be surprised if honda goldwing put an A/C unit on the bike with a hose attachment that can connect to a full face helmet. NASA has some tech for keeping astronauts cool on space walks.
You think 85 is hot?! You should know better than that! You use to live in Georgia and that's part of the south. I live in Alabama and most of the time it's always hot with bad humidity which makes it worse. Meow when it's the summer, oh boy it gets HOT! I only wear tank top, and shorts when I ride when it hot and sometimes in the winter time. I wear helmet, and fingeerleess harley gloves that I like in the summmer time.
I never really experienced the GA summer heat because I only stayed in that GA country house in the winter. Here in Cleveland, we have been pretty lucky so far with telps mostly in the 70's. We did have a little stint fro a few days in the 80's but that was gone after like 3 days. We were even in the 60's last week, I had a hoody on. I hate hot weather and love cold weather, reason I never sold my house in Cleveland. Try the CE Armor jacket I ride with, it is as close to wearing nothing but with all the protection. I've been riding with it since 2012. amzn.to/3RpXKm5
I live in AL and wear full gear. Riding in tank top and shorts is actually hotter cuz there's nothing between you and the sun and the engine heat. I'm on hwy 25 with a one piece white leather suit most weekends, let's ride.

My favorite are the squids who say mind your own business. My friend is an AllState agent and he told me to tell them it is my business because the people who don't wear gear get hurt the most which cost the insurance companies money which in return is passed onto motorcycle riders. It is one of the direct reseons why no matter age motorcycle insureance is so damn high.
85 degrees, pretty warm?? It’s 105 here in Vegas. I wish I could ride in 85 degrees…
That is true, when the squids get hurt bad we all pay with higher rates, If riders would at least wear a helmet and airbag vest there would be a lot less motorcycle related fatalities and riders getting crippled. However, so many squids are hard headed and have to learn the had way.
@@MrBigfigga Dang! We have been lucky here in Cleveland, has only been in the 70's and was even in the 60's last week. I hope we don't get that horrible heat wave, I hate heat more than anything.
@@CycleCruza for reals. I might have to look at places out there.
You look like someone that has no business being on a sportbike name calling.
Does it get that hot in Ohio in the summer? Here in Florida gets really hot
